My friend and I both have asp explorers, pretty well upgraded but not maxed. We have 5b shields for example. We bounty hunt together and between the two of us we can take out almost any ship.

ShadowTracer Great can't wait to see it. The asp explorer is my favorite ship right now because it's like a Swiss army knife. It can do traveling, exploration, recovery, combat, trading, and it does it all decently well.

one thing i might mention, targeting an enemys module before taking down its sheilds actually reduces your effectiveness to the sheilds itself, not by much but its worth nothing that taking down sheilds first is best especially if its pvp

ShadowTracer the only difference to that is if you have the laser modification that lets random bursts of dmg through the sheilds into the hull directly but even then its faster just to remove the sheilds

Perfect, thanks for the video! Now I know I need not fear taking my ASPX to take down some T9s for Chemical Manipulators. I bet I can even settle for some lower grade components, like 5C Thrusters and a smaller Power Plant if I just take 1 Shield Booster... I'll give it a try! What do you think about taking a Missile Rack with me, Point Defense and a Mine Launcher in case I have to run?

I'm not sure how useful mines are in that type of situation since I've haven't tried it, but the rest sounds like not a bad idea. Give it a try and let me know how it turns out.

I only just got the game a week ago. just bought this ship tonight. and i wanted to build a fighter/ trader with a mix of exploring for same reason u mentioned. The build looks great for what i want to do. Thankyou so much. So many do Full trading build or something.......... this is a multi purpose ship lol so not sure why u would buy this just to haul cargo and have no weapons...

Naa man you can squash NPC Pythons etc. with that ship once you are comfortable in it. I can beat one on one NPC Pythons in my A Rated DBS pretty on the regular, I think I've engaged them up to Deadly rank as well. I checked your video because I am thinking of skipping the Vulture and actually getting this ship as my next combat vessel.

+Vincent The Keeper I've flown the DBE, but never the scout, so I don't really know how it compares. It isn't in the same price range though. But if you're doing primarily bounty hunting, I would actually go for the Vulture as a primary ship over the Asp Explorer. They look similar on paper, but in practice, I've noticed that the Vulture's two class 3 hardpoints have a big advantage over the Asp's two class 2 and four class 1. If you're doing other stuff than bounty hunting, though, and you change your loadout around a lot, then I would go with the Asp for the versatility. But just straight hunting, Vulture hands down.

The Vulture is definitely a dope ship for combat but i personally found the asp explorer to be better. I say buy the Vulture and pimp it out and give it a run. if you don't like it, just sell it and grab the asp explorer

Large tank capacity. Plus, if you're bounty hunting at res sites and such, you won't be jumping systems much.

Simple answer. Turrets. Or flight assist off noobs. Asp is still a potent build. If fully decked can punch above its weight without getting flown around in circles by eagles all day. Definitely an underrated combat vessel. Specially with level 6 shields and level 5 shield banks...

i'm new to this game and seems is very hard to find A5 power plant for my Vulture, i'm in the empire space KoolHaas Vision station, been search around there, i can't find it, can someone point me to right direction? thanks

I'm not familiar with KoolHaas, but any High Tech system should have an A5. You can also try searching in Industrial systems. There are filters in your galaxy map that can help you find specific types of systems. Also, I think this is the video where I have a vehicle hanger in the Asp...don't do that now that 2.1 is live. Just use A6 shields. I should probably do an entirely new Asp video actually.

Andel is a good high tech place. Best high tech place i found so far that always has everything is Sanuma at the Dunyach station. It is kinda far though so to make it worth your time, find some rare goods to take with you. A cargo hold with about 40 units worth of rare goods can bring in an easy million which helps when your going for A rating equipment

+Ale Stro check inara.cz/galaxy-outfitting. Just klick a component you need and it will tell you where you can buy it, you can even enter your location and it will tell you the nearest point of sale :) High tech system NLTT 6655 has almost everything you need. Bought all of my Grade A components there.
