Great fun to watch! I can't afford to get the Python Mk II for ARX, so while I patiently wait until I can fly one myself for credits, I am honestly enjoying the new ship by watching videos like these :) Thanks for sharing CMDR!

Brother, what the fuck is your setup? Hotas? Hosas? I must know how the hell you manage this and all the other stuff you have posted. You're unreal!

😅 Thanks CMDR! To answer your question, I fly HOSAS. The rest of the answer is many hundreds of hours of practice.

@@dangerpencil I dig it. I fly hosas as well but still pretty new and I can't even dream of pulling off what you do. Would hate to catch you in a PVP battle lol that's crazy. Any tips for bindings?

@godofm3tal1 My two main keybind tips for FA-Off in Elite Dangerous are: Cargo scoop set to "Hold". Forward/Reverse Thrust on Left Z-Twist .
@godofm3tal14 ай бұрын
@@dangerpencil wait what? That does the cargo scoop have to do with flight? And what do you use your "throttle" axis for if not throttle?
@dangerpencil4 ай бұрын
@godofm3tal1 Left Stick Y-Axis is Lift (thrust up/down). Left stick X-Axis is Lateral Thrust. Right Stick Z-Twist is Yaw. Right Stick X-Axis is Roll. Right stick Y-Axis is Pitch. The reason thrust is on Z-Twist is two-fold. Twist has a shorter throw, which allows you to make quick drastic changes to your forward/reverse thrust. And lift being the Y-Axis is intuitive. Pull back on Right Stick - Pitch Up. Pull back on Left Stick - Go Up. Push forward on both sticks, go down and look down. The cargo scoop is a complicated beast. When the scoop is deployed, your max velocity is 50% of your normal max(as long as you deploy the scoop before reaching 50% of your normal max). This is also true when you boost then deploy your scoop. But if you boost then deploy your scoop, your max acceleration is not limited by the cargo scoop. You still get 100% of the increase in acceleration from boosting. So boosting and then scooping greatly increases your max lateral acceleration to max velocity ratio compared to your max forward acceleration to max forward velocity ratio. In laymans terms, you move sideways better without boosting directly into whatever is in front of you.
