Elite Dangerous: SCO FSDs are just ALWAYS better

I wonder if it was a mistake by FDev to make these SCO drives this good with almost no downsides? I spent a lot of time grinding mats for multiple 5A pre Eng drives. It's a little disappointing to see that all that work is now obsolete. From my limited use of these SCO drives, using one to get to titan Hadad in my Krait mk2 to farm mats, fuel was an issue. I didn't take a scoop nor an extra tank, and I very nearly didn't have enough to get back to a station. I can imagine people making this mistake when using SCO a little too much and getting stranded.

it does feel like a mistake just like it would feel like a mistake if a beam laser came out that had the highest dps of any laser but also used the least amount of power, the least distributer draw, had the highest armor pen, and in every other way was superior to every other laser. It also feels like a mistake even more because every SCO happens to be the exact same weight of every other SCO if its size class; the D sco weighs the same as the B sco when, really, they should be 4 times different. But, who knows, maybe its all intended. maybe FSD tech just advanced so much in our "life times" that it just makes all this possible. In other words, we just happened to be alive during the moment humanity out did itself again and we are experiencing a massive leap in our own progress. That said, this would still be the case if the SCO were more balanced too

Are there SCO's for class 6? Cause if they'll remain this only resets the grind on maxed out exploration ships. Also plays into what I predicted right away. Lower classes would discourage those that would benefit from easy escape, while making them same makes everyone use them, which is not beneficial for anyone. Now they are actually *better*

@@perilousrange also respectfully, there is nothing to disagree about; something like this which is easily testable, makes agreement or disagreement irrelevant. What you are saying is just wrong. I went back to see the side by side again in game just now, just in case FDev fiddled with the numbers and didn't tell anyone, just to find its exactly as I originally said. I suggest going over your engineering on the FSDs and make sure they are what you assumed they were.

@@perilousrange my sole aim when replying to you is in regard to the DBX and your comments about the v1, pre-engineered. The grade A SCO is simply and absolutely longer, in addition to enjoying every other superiority as well, save a very minor fuel efficiency loss. You were correct about every other thing you said.
