I said this months ago. literally when it was first scanned and nobody even picked it up lol. my "at the time" theory was that maybe they are searching for the logo as it may have come up in scans. every time they scan a ship they seem to get closer to human occupied space. maybe they are (as I commented) space flora and they are looking to pollinate more planets.

i joined your channel a few days ago, found yours after looking for elite youtubers, after joining chaos wulf your vids started to show also, and uts because of you and chaos that i returned to elite after more than a year away... and im having a blast, and for the first time i have a feeling this game is on the right direction and content will flow to fill our huge and empty universe. Elite gives feelings and sensations i cant find in other games, its like if our senses are on edge... exploring the galaxy alone is one example.. but even with all this the game is not perfect and in my opinion far from finished, if i had a magic wand i would take some content from Hellion and from SC and put it in Elite. i know one day elite will be the way i love and thousands others love. The Elite community deserves that and its people like you and chaos that show us the normal mortals the beauty of Elite. Thank you for being like that mate, best regards and fly safe commander.

Stick around, we'll probably look back on this time as "The Good Ol Days" when things were simple. The thing many do not understand is that the most simple cargo delivery IS having an effect on the game as a whole, it's just that the cause and effect are no visible, nor should they be. The Devs has set out very deep plotlines, and the story goes on all around us...but sooner or later that plotline is going to drag us in, and I feel certain we are all going to find ourselves in the trenches so to speak. Another fun passive game is seeing if you can guess the station references (Names) There are more than a few film references out there, certainly there are also astronomer/physicist names being used...I do know if I see a "Ripley Outpost" I am NOT going to dock there :-)

And here was me, making my way in the galaxy as an independant trader. Just making a living in my trusty Python (that I named Monty), content to leave the exploring to people more intrepid than myself but... I'm pretty sure at some point, the Thargoids are going to return, assuming they haven't already and when they do, the bickering between the Federation and Empire is going to be meaningless. War is coming and even traders looking for a quiet life are gonna have to make a stand.

I remember reading that on GalNet. It was a Diamondback​ Scout that appeared around Obsidian Orbital and began flying in circles. When it got close, the operator of the station tried to give it permission to dock but it didn't reply. Instead it scanned the station and then scrammed. I would consider that a potential contact.

@DavidUtau Since it's a name I would say the pronunciation doesn't depend on the country or the language, but based on english words like 'rope', this way of saying it is understandable. It's pretty much like *foreign footballers in the Premier League* : We all know 'Hazard' is pronounced 'Azar', 'Cazorla' is pronounced 'Cathorla' and 'Giroud' is pronounced 'Girou'. But saying their names differently is not that big of a deal...

Great video as usual Ant. I was on a recent 'Meta-ally' hunt and eventually found a live one Pleiades Nebula Planet Merope 2 A (13.4277,-161.5145) which was guarded by a federation battle cruiser. I had a looked around several barnacle sites (most are dead). But in every case they had a federation battlecruiser present. I recorded an initial visit kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJ_WoqKbjN-Vi9U. Not to your standard Ant and I don't talk in this one either, but you get a look. It seems these sites may be no fly zones with the federation (and I assume the Empire are doing the same). Anyhow things are happening in the Pleiades Nebula sector, with lots of battle cruisers present. I wonder if this is where the federation / Empire war will start ?

The ruins are hugely significant in this story's development, so i'm surprised he left them out.

A word to the wise: "Merope" rhymes with "Penelope" -- the final 'e' is pronounced. Ditto for the other stars in the Pleiades (which even Braben mispronounces, it should be PLY-add-ease). Star names are a bit of a minefield as there is such a jumble of Latin, Greek and Arabic. I don't think the aliens that saved Jasmina Halsey are Thargoids. I think we've got other company out there, in the black. I'm starting to realize exactly how big this galaxy is, and even though I do a complete FSS survey of every system I jump to, as do a lot of us, we have no fucking clue what's out there. It's like trying to take an inventory of individual grains of sand on the beach. Elite: Dangerous has advanced the lore so much already, and I think we're meant to add a lot more to it before we get another game. I'd like to see a type three civilization out there, and have a chance to royally fuck up the diplomacy, which, let's be honest, we're going to end up doing anyway. With their technology, the Thargoids should be kicking our collective asses up and down the galactic arm. I'd even wager that FDev is waiting for a good time to drop a hive ship somewhere in the bubble. This attack on humanity might not be vengeance for the Mycoid Virus, or a conquest. It might be them sizing us up, to see if they can wipe us out, or get around us. We know they like to expand, but what if we aren't the only one's starting to encroach on their space? What if something scarier is out there?

My Thought is that there are 2 Species (The Guardians & the Thargoids) - The Guardians want to protect humanity and the Thargoids want to destroy Human Live. A long time ago Both Species fight each other and it was a draw. Now the Thargoids recovered their army and want to attack again. So Humans and The Guardians have to fight together and defeat the Thargoids

I think players need more "horror" aliens, like METRO creatures.. or creatures from ALIEN series, also EVIL smart Aliens, humanoid, smart like us.. more AI... to fight with them and to explore their technology.. to use their guns, not only guns from store.. to use their ships, not only from stores, also that ships to be difficult to sunk (ONLY FOR HIGH LEVEL or big teams).. other must buy... that could change way of game to be more dramatic and more better than now.. :D
