I don’t know if it was a bad decision,..it depends. If he just didn’t want to pay someone for their work, that is always wrong, but there are also extra cash grabs or systems people can want to protest or think should change. Like many think there should be no realtors for house sales now that the Internet exists, or that they should be paid by the hours they work, not getting a percent and making more money if they get people into houses quickly or push more expensive houses. Or like Starbucks now asking customers to tip, hoping to use a customer tip system so they don’t have to pay a living wage….I want Starbucks workers to be paid a decent wage, not inconsistent tips because the multi+-billion dollar company is being cheap.

To be honest from how messed up her mother was from the cheating of her own husband, the calls only sped up a process that I'm almost certain would surface regardless. It'd maybe not be this poor girl that would've been killed but someone other one that'd be unfortunate enough to catch her attention or lingered around the husband of her daughter for a bit too long for her liking. It was said she was paranoid about him cheating even before any of the calls due to the lack of payment begun, it'd probably just take longer to get this bad.

Hi! Please look into the case of Alexandra Macesanu: a Romanian schoolgirl who was kidnapper, raped and murdererd by a taxi driver. It's a very heartbreaking story especially because she managed to call the police when the guy was out but they waited hours in front of the taxi driver's house instead of barging right in. Later when the man was arrested it became known she was at least his second victim as he had killed Luiza Melencu too and maybe even others. It caused a huge scandal in Romania as it showed the police's corruption and incapability to protect the most vulnerable.

the story was actually way more complex than it seems. her remains were not found immediately - which was weird as the police came the next day after she called for help. the kidnapper claimed to have burnt the body but it was almost impossible to burn it entirely within such a short timeframe. later a few remains have been uncovered, but it's speculated that Alexandra was actually trafficked and that the local police was collaborating with a trafficking network (they were all acting incredibly suspicious so this theory seems plausible to me, especially taking into account how Romania is among the top European countries for human trafficking). the police might've glossed over the entire story to save an entire nefarious network. in any case, a very heartbreaking case.

Her Mom sounds like she was jealous that the daughter had found a man who wasn't cheating on her. Maybe the Mom felt comfort that all men cheat so when hers cheated, it didn't feel so bad but when she saw the genuine relationship her daughter had, it made her feel bad about her life, her marriage, her decision to stay in the relationship (which would be so difficult to leave) that she couldn't take it. The only way to resolve that was to prove her own belief right, that all men cheat and the more she was proven wrong, the worse she felt and the more desperate she became.

I'm so sorry for everyone who suffered from the actions of Mrs Moon. My dad had Parkinson's Disease, which doesn't directly kill you, it's the side illnesses that will ultimately take you. My dad was put into a nursing home, with elderly people who were old enough to be his parents. My dad suffered TIA's, small strokes, which took him, he was 65 years old. How dare this woman lay claim to illnesses and cancers to receive elite treatment, when there are families genuinely caring for, or mourning the loss, of loved ones. Ggrr. While the majority of judges likely go into the job to do good and uphold law and order, those rich and powerful enough to be able to pay to get away with it are going to seek out the minority who are corrupt and bribable.

I am from Latin America and when I read these comments I'm always baffled at the cultural differences around how we see our countries. It's as if people in Korea and in some other Asian countries are conditioned to trust the word of their country as a whole, including authorities. Meanwhile here it's the exact opposite: we are conditioned to trust no one, and to think not only will authorities not help us, they will try to drag us down. We can be proud of our country in the sense that we love it, but no sensible person here would tell a foreigner "yes, us peruvians/paraguayans/argentinians are so honorable". It's more likely that we will tell them to watch their pockets if they ever come here.

This was such a sad case. I am Black American woman with Indian ancestry. When I was in a grad school several Korean international students showed interest in me. It was very confusing because I thought they were simply being very cordial since they never asked me out. I found out when I became friends with Chinese woman who was in the same classes. Here is my theory regarding Mrs. Moon's obsession with her son-in-law's alleged affair: her own husband was ruthlessly unfaithful to her. She was powerless to do anything about it so had to endure both the humiliation and the betrayal. However, if her son-in-law was cheating on her daughter, she could unleash onto him all of the pent up rage inside her that she really wanted to direct toward her own husband. She desperately wanted revenge and she was going to get it, regardless at whom it was directed!

Makes me sick. She basically got away with murder. She murdered an innocent, bright, young woman with her entire bright future in front of her. My mom, has a lot of mental health things she suffers with so much so that she was eventually ruled incompetent to stand trial. Anyways, she was thrown into jail for over 3 months with a plethora of actual physical and mental disabilities for failure to appear, which she failed to appear because she was homeless and had no car to get to the court date. Court was due to her having a fight with my sister outside of a gas station where eye witness said she hit my sister, which my sister herself denied, but the state pressed charges. Anyways, when she finally got bonded out of jail by that same sister, she was down to 88 pounds, completely traumatized and her health has quickly continued to quickly decline since then. She had been on loads of medications for years, they let her withdraw cold turkey, she had no teeth so couldn't probably eat the food she was given, so they let her starve. She was treated terribly and completely disregarded because she was homeless and looked at like an addict, even though anything she did was medicine she was put on by doctors, and only ever took it as prescribed. Just goes to show money can buy you every and any thing.
