ELITE OBUCH vs EVERY GENERIC UNIT | AoE II: Definitive Edition

The Obuch is the unique unit of the Poles in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Dawn of the Dukes.
The Obuch is an infantry unit which can tear the armor from the enemy units (but not buildings) by -1/-1 (melee/pierce) per hit (bonus armor classes, such as anti-anti-Cavalry armor of Cataphracts, are not affected). The armor cannot go below 0, and units with initial negative armor (i.e., rams) do not have their negative armor reduced further; however, if, for example, melee armor has reached 0 while pierce armor has not, the latter will still be reduced by 1 each subsequent hit until it reaches 0. The only way to revert this is to fully heal affected unit. The effect is applied after the Obuch's attack has inflicted damage (i.e., the Obuch attack that lowered the unit's melee armor from, e.g., 1 to 0 will still use 1 armor to calculate Obuch's damage for the said attack).
Obuchs can be upgraded to Elite Obuchs in the Imperial Age.

Seams the poles in general want a numbers advantage in every unit choice. The problem is the Leitis got a major buff and is already better at dealing with Teutonic Knights and boyars, which you would think it should counter.

I think the intiontion is for this unit to be used with arbalest, which shreds the now armorless opponent. On paper its super-strong the issue is just getting there.

How do you get your units to patrol so cleanly? When I do this some of them just stop before they get into combat, the command just breaks.

It’s often a lot more smoother in singleplayer than in multiplayer, I can also recommend watching SotL’s video where he compares patrol and attack move. In some situations attack move is the better option.
