One of the best breakdowns I've seen. Thank you.

Indeed... I've been looking at this movement for at least a month and haven't tried it yet. This is the only one where they didn't spin/rotate around in a confusing way during ithe kneel/lunge to staniing portion. Also, the emphasis on the hinging backward into the kneeling position when lowering to the ground [so the spine is protected] is a major point most videos miss.

Excellent breakdown, in particular the hip hinge reaching to the floor

Did not know about pushing off with the back leg, keeping the knee lined up with hand, and windshield wiping leg going down to "hip out." Now I know why I was having low back pain

I scour the internet for turkish get-ups demos, preparing to cringe at the awful self-taught coaches trying to teach this move with awful form, missed cues and made up terminology...BUT Anna nailed it. She knows what she is doing and has been coached well and clearly practices this herself often. A+

Dan, John mentions the point isn't to load more weight. It's more of a balancing movement. So a cup of water without spilling is success 😊

Thanks for the video. Because there are lot of movements and involves a lot of coordination is this recommended for older clients who have this mobility or getting up problems?

Also, keep your arm close to your head as you extend on your feet. And keep your arm and wrist locked. Don't bend your wrist.

Turkish Get-Ups definitely helped my back, but my abs didn't benefit at all. I'd include a few ab exercises if you want the full core benefits.

Hard to miss that Mr Boyle is tight, such that he can't sit in a squatting position with his heels on the ground.
