Thank you Ken! I think I will make a video with other items after all since it seems like there is some interest :) I wasn't going to explain why the objects react the way they do but you are making me reconsider. Perhaps I can add the explanations at the end of the video for those who are interested or add in a voiceover. Is there anything particular you would like to see put in a vacuum? And I appreciate the link suggestion! I added the vacuum chamber link to the description: amzn.to/2PMB2Z7

Residential I could see this as an option, but as a commercial service tech for years, hauling this thing up an extension ladder onto a roof, and keeping that large digital display from bouncing off the side of the ladder and breaking it? I'll just keep the micron gauge in my digital meter where are least it is lighter and easier to protect.
@WordofAdviceTV3 жыл бұрын
That is actually a great point! Thank you for pointing it out. I didn't even consider the fact that the screen could easily get cracked... Will need to add that to the list of cons 😅

Another awesome video thanks for sharing. Do you recommend this particular vacuum? I ask you this because I have been looking around other vacuum pumps such as Fieldpiece and honestly that’s one of my favorites, but this one comes with the microns gauge built in. I am looking forward to read your opinion thanks.
@WordofAdviceTV3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jose! I cannot give you a good answer since I have not tried this pump on an actual unit yet. I am not sure which Fieldpiece pump you are looking at but I believe both pumps should have similar performance. Just pick one that you like more. Look at the specs of each pump and decide what you prefer. For example: Fieldpiece: 5CFM Elitech: 7CFM (should be slightly faster and more powerful) Fieldpiece: 31.0 pounds (this one weighs less so should be easier to carry around) Elitech: 37.7 pounds Fieldpiece: Has 4 different port sizes Elitech: Only has the one standard size and would need an adapter for any other size. Fieldpiece: No "bells and whistles", a plain pump that has a good track record Elitech: Has a digital display, micron gauge, and you can hook up to it with your phone. Etc... Choose what will work best for you, depending on what you prefer and what you need. This Elitech pump had a good first impression on me so I will be keeping this one for myself but I have never had a Fieldpiece so I can't tell you anything out of experience about it. I've only had Yellowjacket and JB pumps in the past. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Hi Jay, great video as always. I just want to let you Know that I have learned a lot from watching your channel. As a newcomer to the HVAC. you channel has been my quick go to. you have a great way of simplifying some topics and making them easy to remember. How is Hawaii compared to Minnesota?
@tongli8662 жыл бұрын
Jay, thanks again for doing these kind of videos, very useful,I've subscribed your channel many years ago, when you were not in Hawaii, 🙂 I actually also bought this unit (12 CFM though) as well and tried it recently. The one thing I am a bit unsure about it is the leakage level, which the manual says should be between 0 and 100, and also said that the number 0 means unknown, I am confused about this indicator, should one try to achieve 1 or 10? a number of 100 certainly is 100% leak, 0 is unknown, are we trying to achieve somewhere in between? I've also send the same question to Elitech but has not received any response yet. Your thought on this will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sir please sugest me pressure washer for split ac servising.how much pressure need for coil cleaning
@WordofAdviceTV3 жыл бұрын
The fins on those coils are very flexible so using a power washer is not a good idea. It will bend all the fins which is not good. Using a regular hose nozzle with not too much pressure is all that is needed. You can even cap the end of the hose with your thumb instead of a nozzle and that will be good enough.

i know this has nothing to do with ac but i was wondering why i had to put a jumper on my thermostat from rc to rh to make everything work
@WordofAdviceTV3 жыл бұрын
Rc is power to cooling and Rh is power to heating. On many thermostats, the hot wire coming from the furnace will only go to one of those terminals so the jumper needs to be added to provide the power for the other one as well. I am sure they could have designed that better but that's just the way it is..

right, the gauge should be placed the farthest from the vacuum for the most accurate reading, but the gauge on the vacuum self is also good (I think). The best thing probably is having another gauge at the other end and read both, but the catch is that more equipment connections more chances of leak.

Hello Jay ✌️ good buddy 🤙 well Jay I lost my baby boy bigfoot Monday morning its been a long rough week for me loosing him feels like a thousand bee stings to the heart ❤️ so not good.. he bloated up big Thursday from the new dog food that wasn't supposed to bloat him but it did and he aspirated into his lungs before I could get the bloating out of him so he got pneumonia Friday and I had him on antibiotics for it and my vet gave me liquid albuterol to dialate the blood vessels in his lungs so he could breathe better but it didn't help much he got worse and Saturday night he had a fever and I sat up with him all night and I got his fever down and I just slept on the couch above his bed so I could watch him so I slept maybe a couple of hours and I woke up and he was laying there just looking at me like he was taking in my image for memory or something so I jumped up and got down there next to him and I offered him a drink of water but he turned his head he didn't want anything so I just sat down next to him and I was petting and talking to him and he was breathing normal and all of sudden he stopped breathing and he closed his eyes tight and I gave him a little shake and said his name and he opened his eyes and took one more breath of air and he closed his eyes again and it was over with I tried to revive him but no luck I knew that it was coming just a matter of time but it hurts beyond enough words I can string together and say little Arnold was right by his side and saw him pass away and he has been So depressed like me he didn't want to eat for two days after he slept by his body for the few days I had him in here he wouldn't leave his side I had to keep him up till the casket and vault came in I ordered so I did some preservation work on him and he never changed but when I was getting ready to crank down the lid for the last time little Arnold jumped up to the side of his casket and just looked at him and sniff him and he would take the little paw and rake it across his nose he always did do that so bigfoot would lick his face and ears Arnold would just stand there loving every bit of it but anyway when he saw me close the lid with him in it it has scared him he later would pace the floor looking for him and he still does I can say hey Arnold you miss ol bigfoot and he perks up and he thinks he is here and he will start searching so I I don't say anything to him he has been following me every step since he is gone I think he is scared that I was going to put him in the big container. Bigfoot was forty two inches long I had to get a big one for him and vault because I wanted him protected from the elements it's hard jay when you have a close buddy like him for fourteen years and then they are gone I'd give everything I own to have him back but it doesn't work like that take care of yourself buddy and from me and Arnold and the late bigfoot we love you all
