POV Drive: 800HP AWD 2002 Acura RSX Type-S | LOUD Turbo | Straight Piped | Cold Start | 3D Audio

Hello all! Once again, today I drive my personal build. The 2002 Acura RSX converted to AWD with OEM honda crv parts + a Landrover Freelander Driveshaft. This K24 K20 combo makes over 800HP to the wheels and I must say...It is scary! We drive to go fuel it up as its running low. It sat most of the winter. BUT I cant help it. I had to start her up and go for a drive. + We also installed a billet shifter & a new shift knob.

@A almost all JDM cars you don't need to step on the clutch and breaks. Japan only applied that feature to USDM cars as an idiot proof feature

This is done because when you install a much stronger clutch, the pressure that is put on the crankshaft against the thrust bearings is much higher due to the pressure plate in the clutch pushing much harder on it. This causes excess wear on cold starts when you hold the clutch in and crank the engine on. To avoid this, we put a jumper on the clutch pedal switch. This makes the car think that the clutch is always engaged allowing you to start it without using the clutch. You just have to make sure its not in gear otherwise the car will move 😃

I don't know the history of this build but, your battery light would indicate that the alternator isn't charging your battery. Therefore at low rpm, the engine is more likely to stall because of the low voltage. Or the Idle air control valve needs cleaned or replaced. I'm an autotech that loves honda. What a great video man! Sweet build man, your car seems to have a hunting idle, I would rule out the two basic steps for that condition known for stock hondas/Acuras, low coolant or air in the cooling system or a dirty or bad idle control valve, I would start with that

My focus used to behave exaclty like that in cold weather, but would get good once it got warm, a year later found out it was a bad ignition coil. You might want to test yours if you have one. 😃

Nah probably just some sensor that's not been sorted, hence the crap idle... Sounds like the car needs more time on the dyno with someone who can look at the cold start etc... Sounds amazing until it slows down then it sounds like a dog's breakfast

That’s probably a MAF sensor that’s causing your rpm to go up and down. I had that problem on my 96’ civic and I replaced it. It stopped the rising of the rpm

If built properly, the K series + a nicely built transmission with PPG gears = reliability! Its been 1+ year and 50+ pulls on this car so far. So far, it hasn't broken even once!
