My experience. Humectants are the best option for conditioning low porosity curly/ wavy hair without product build up. So okra gel with a teaspoon of honey. It's very easy to make okra gel, I just chop the okra and throw it in a bottle of water and leave for 24 hours, no heat required. Apply the okra honey mix, apply a plastic bag or a shower cap and a towel over the top and leave for 20-30 minutes. Do this every two weeks, then rinse out using rhassoul clay. After you shower apply a small amount of Argan oil to the ends and scrunch. This is all I do because I've found that less is more with low porosity hair. Argan oil is miraculous stuff. Most products out there are too heavy for my hair.

A plastic cap with your natural body heat works great! Plastic shower cap on while doing house work, working out at home are some ways to "turn up" the heat.

Literally just found out about porosity from king Brill while I was looking up bonnets. No one taught me QQ But id add oils in my hair after a shower to help condition and IT NEVER WORKED. I always went with the wash your hair in cold water theory and my hair was just gross. Washing my hair in super hot water that My skin doesnt like? PERFECT.

Thanks for the info. Hair can be managed , but in reality once it leaves the scalp it is Dead". We can make it appear healthy and in better condition with products , but there is no real fix because it is not living. So we can keep that in mind when we buy products as well...
