Youngest and last Titanic survivor. I've made the Titanic a lifetime study and know her inside and out. Once under Titanic's spell, you never escape. Milvina embraced Titanic eventually and became a font of knowledge, as did Eva Hart. In my opinion, your best yet Paul. Such a shame her stone is unkempt

Hi, sorry I don't, it was just something I heard many years ago when I came to live in Malvern. Aparently he was married but was running off to America to start a relationship with a woman he was having an affair with. Owned a chemist shop in Malvern I think.

@jeremytaylor3546 There's several instances when Men travelled on assumed names. The Navratils were a case in point, so it may be that he faked out his English family. I'll check though.

I can't imagine the terror of watching the ship you were on sinking, even from the safety of a lifeboat. So many were lost. RIP to all those who died on15th April 1912 and the survivors who were traumatised.

I remember posting somewhere on the internet, when it was announced that Millvina Dean had died, that the RMS Titanic had finally sailed out of living history. It is sad to see that her marker has been left to become almost illegible. I hope that Millvina is finally at rest and is reunited with the Father she lost on that fateful night aboard the RMS Titanic. 🕯

Hi Paul. What a great video. My arm is tattooed in Titanic images. The story really gripped me. I met Millvena, Eva Hart and Edith Haisman at a couple of Titanic Conventions in Southampton. They all expressed their wishes for the Titanic to be left as a grave site in memory of their lost relatives. That's why I would never go and see any Titanic exhibitions that have bought up items from the sea bed. Another good place to go is the Titanic Museum in Belfast. Superb. Thanks Paul.

Hi , Paul . Very interesting as always . I feel sad that she had to sell her memorabilia to feed a greedy care home . I saw this many times with elderly folks during my days as a carer . One old chap who I got to know in Frimley Park Hospital , sold his nearly one million home , to pay for his care . Simply because he lost all mobility . The Vultures need to fly .

Great video. My dad lost a great uncle on the Titanic, he was from England but was a minister in Jacksonville Florida. H was on his way back after visiting family in the UK accompanied by his sister in law. His sister in law survive sadly he did not. His body was recovered and is now interred in Jacksonville. Ghost Adventures did an invo at one of the Titanic exhibitions and were told about him as the exhibition has his bible he had with him, his name was Rev RJ Bateman. When I visited one of the exhibitions in the US, I asked if they knew of him being on the ship, what they told me was very interesting. One day I hope to visit his grave.

It's fascinating that a ship which didn't complete her maiden voyage continues to generate so much interest. Have you heard of the Edmund Fitzgerald? The Fitz was a freighter on the Great Lakes and went down with all hands during a storm in November 1975. The Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot wrote a song about the tragedy; all the song royalties go to the families of the crew.

I love history Paul and it must be talked about, so it is not forgotten. No wonder she could not watch the Titanic after watching A Night To Remember years earlier, that must have given her nightmares for the rest of her life. It’s one thing to know your father died on the titanic, but to watch a film is another story, as it then would have given her a visual of what he really went through. It breaks my heart, what these families had to endure, all because of sheer recklessness. They all deserve to have their headstones 🪦 taken care of (renewed) so that they are legible for future generations to read. How can anyone keep paying their respects, when they don’t know who they are looking at. Nice video Paul, thank you for sharing with us. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺

My home town of Melksham is where the Goodwin family lived before setting sail on the Titanic for a new life in America. Husband, wife and 6 children died. Their 19 month old son Sidney was called the unknown child until DNA identified him in 2007, he is buried in America. There is a plaque in my local church about them.

Met a woman of 106 while being a hca in 2003. The woman was amazing. And I was in total shock when she shared some photos. There were photos of her dad and her at the age of 15 and they were stood with the titanic behind them a few days or so before sailing off. I sat there totally shocked. This will stay with me for rest of my days. I was honoured to have met this fantastic woman. She did share the secret to long life. She refused to eat vegetables except for potatoes in late childhood. Amazing woman. Henrietta lay was her name. Just thought I'd share.

It’s sad that her plaque is so poorly maintained and sadder that there isn’t a memorial plaque to her at Southhampton Docks at the berth where the Titanic sailed from. She deserves at least that much recognition. A sweet lady who should not be forgotten.
