Elaine does not have the body of a child; she is 158 cm tall (5 foot 2 inches). It's just that Ban is extremely tall at 210 cm, and Elaine looks tiny in comparison. Elaine looks more adult-like in the manga, but animators had difficulty animating her and simply made her a loli, cute, and childlike. I understand everyone's hate, but Ban and Elaine are one of the best couples in the anime, with genuine respect, trust, and love for each other. When danger strikes, neither one was willing to back down to save the other. And even after Elaine's death, Ban continued to find a way to resurrect her. They were separated by death (Ban couldn't die, and Elaine can't live) but still unwilling to give up. Later, Elaine helped Ban deal with his guilt about trying to kill Meliodas. At last, Ban gave up his immortality for her. It's true love.

It's as simple as her looking like a 6 year old...Just like Meliodas looking like some 10 year old. It's weird that the creator actively makes pedo bait. Like for instance, Merlin, A grown woman with a form well over 5'7 having a child form (In which she's only wearing a dress) or the fact fairies can change into an adult form. (Like with king) and yet the Creator keeps Elaine looking like a 2nd grader...OR how about the fact Meliodas called an INFANT his "woman" and saw Elizabeth from a romantic and sexual point of view even when she was just a child..

​@pcmld2267 not gonna lie I was a bit concerned when ban saw a kid that looked similar to Elaine and having a similar name then went to approach the kid and even claimed to her brother that he's gonna take her witch is similar to the promise he made to Elaine even if it was just in jest to scare the brother **SPOILERS** And merlin turning out to still be a kid but basically having a female form like a pilot operating a robot and then kiss esconar at the end was also a bit weird Along with telling 2 strangers he encounters which was the king and his men that the baby he's holding is his woman and practically raised her as she grew up And King being way older then Diana was when she was just a kid is when they first met and also in a way raised her/taking care of her until they part king, merlin, meliodas, Elaine and zeldris basically main cast all have childlike forms and literally all there love interests actually look their age which is adults I see a weird pattern here especially with the pairing always being a kid and adult that don't look their age

There's Escanor, who's a towering 7-feet-tall beast of a man, paired with Merlin, a sexy woman who in truth is a little girl. Elizabeth and Meliodas, I mean, come on man, he don't even look old enough to legally start drinking. Don't get me started on Ban and Elaine. Jericho is old enough to be Lancelot's mother (18+ years older) yet still loves him romantically, the author is clearly just dumping all his nasty kid fetishes into this shitshow. To hell with all that crap about these woman looking like children but being mature on the inside. In hindsight, what's the point of making them look like kids if it doesn't contribute anything to the story? Absolutely nothing. It happens so often that it's clear it's just some weird-ass trope.
