She’s fast and graceful ! Really good selection of music, she just looked like she’s having fun . Fun is what it should be and she has that infectious smile !

Go get 'em Liz. When she skated at the Olympics, for the long program, I cried for her. I was so happy for her, and still am.

I much prefer the choreography and layout of this program at Calgary. But what a great fine. Thanks for providing this skate. It is still a good skate and those marks were deserved. 4 Triples and 2 Double Axels. And she had no idea what was to come a few months later. Won the LP and Silver medal!

The music from around 1:28 to 2:44 is stunningly beautiful. Almost haunting. I cannot find it anywhere. I hear it referred to as "A Canadian Concerto" but no luck finding it. Can anyone help? It is simply beautiful. Thanks.

@rickram1961 the music does have sort of a circus feel to it.

I just read her book Thumbs Up! She talks about this performance and she was really rattled during it. I guess the rink configuration was identical on both ends, so she did her program backwards by accident. She said everything felt weird.

I read that book too, and she mentioned in some other article, she heard a conversation that Debi Thomas coach said..."Oh don't worry about Liz, you know, she'll fall as usual"...lol..i guess he was right...thank gawd she did so well at the Olympics in Calgary

eddiehaskell7, I have the LP from the early1960, and it's by an obscure easy listening guy (Engelhausen or some German name...forgot what his name was exactly)--he was like Paul Mauriat, only much less famous... It was already out of print when I got it in the early 80s, so you should check those stores specializing in out-of-print LPs.
