Liz struggled with nerves. Her one big moment was at Calgary in the Long Program. No pressure for her because She wasn't considered a contender for a win or top placement..so she was Relaxed & had a great night in her Long.

The ice at this competition WAS really spongy and bad, from what I understand. It was in Victoria, BC at an old and quite small arena, and the TV lights were at a short distance from the ice and melting the surface all week long. By the time the final programs came along, they say the ice was soup. Just about everyone skated badly, Brian Orser and Liz Manley included. Not to make excuses but I really think they were fighting bad ice toward the end of this competition.

Liz STILL fell all over the ice.

I wouldn't exactly call this performance "coasting" to victory.

lol, the announcer says, "To me the ice looks very spongy..." what the hell does that mean...and Chalene Wong, only in Canada could she compete at the Olympics, had she competed with that program at the U.S. nationals, she would barely crack the top 10

@ants2876 The team was so weak, Charlene Wong made the team and didnt even LAND a triple there, really horrendous.
