YES! In maybe 1970 I had just gotten my driver's liscence and would drive around BH with a map to the stars homes. Elizabeth Montgomery's house was right at busy Benedict Canyon Dr. and was the most disappointing as all that could be seen was a gate to the property with nothing but folage all around it. I was probably on my way to Marlo Thomas' house anyway off of Benedict Canyon and up Angelo Dr. Marlo lived on a hill, kind of a green forest all her own and she had the gate like Elizabeth with nothing else to be seen but was more picturesque. You could drive beyond her fence and around the corner where you could get out of your car and look down on her tutor house and backyard swimming pool. All these projects of mine that I would never consider doing today! Ah, youth. and obsession! I was never able to see EM house, but I must have seen pictures as this is exactly how I imagine it to be. I wonder if Elizabeth and Bill Asher moved into this house after Bewitched when privacy was at such a premium? And you tell us Elizabeth continued to live here until her death...Elizabeth Montgomery is magic to me and I loved this post! I love this shades of pink chiffon dress with the great neckline Elizabeth wore on the Hollywood Palace as well as on Bewitched. At her very best!

DrGaeiS - I feel I should not include this because I would think people would not believe me but I was so obsessed with the Marlo property and stopped there often. This was so long ago and is completely harmless but one time I looked down on Marlo's backyard and found her topless and entertaining her friend Ted Bessell pool side on a warm day! I am not one to jump to conclusions and I was very far away but I had my eyes, but mainly, I believe I could actually hear their speaking voices which somehow carried upward throughout the canyon? It was them allright, although I find my snooping rather embarassing as a pastime and don't believe I have ever mentioned this to anyone but here now in this public forum! If one were to do this kind of thing today I think it would be called a lot more than "embarassing". Just a kid but off to jail!

I heard it was a 26 room house. I guess with 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms that would be about right. I believe the children sold it in 1999 for about $6.5 m and whoever bought it sold it only in 2002, three years later for about $11 m or so. So that person did REAL well with that house for how little time they owned it. Back when I researched it, I think the property taxes ran over $100,000 a year. Can you imagine? The property taxes alone are that much. Your filming vantage points to me are kind of funny as I've tried to google map that house and I also used that side street to get a glimpse of the front door. :) Not exactly 1164 Morning Glory Circle is it? :) Oh, the expensive tastes of people huh?

Over time, as tourist came to Hollywood and Tours of the Star's Homes began, that is when high fences and gates went up. Elizabeths house is set nicely up a drive, going past a tennis court and swimming pool. Although the house is large in square footage, it had a warm homey feeling. I wonder why? That is so incredibly sad. She seemed so much more classy than to pull something like that. I hope that wasn’t true.

@@DrGariS Yes. I just meant that even up near the house, you can hear the cars passing. Such a nice home and property, but the noise would ruin it for me.

Oh, I'm sure this mansion has central air. I'd hate to pay the electric bill. Liz loved gardening and if one goes on Pinterest and search for BEWITCHED, there's a photo of Easlizabeth working in her garden taken in probably sometime in the mid-60s. Love the video. Liz raised her kids there and Erin Murphy grew up with her kids and often played with Liz's kids there. She was a kind and down to earth person. R.I.P. Liz.

Famous people shouldn't get MORE consideration than regular people. But neither should they get less. If you were skulking around doing this at MY house I'd call the cops! LL

Well they would not have done anything. I live in The vicinity and I was not in anybody’s private property :-)
