Hi Tom, it is certainly a nice location there. It reminds me a bit of New Quay here in Melbourne in the Docklands area. At 12:08 slightly to the left, there is a long "something" on the ground there...is that a snake??? Incidentally, Perth had an electric tram system until it closed in 1958. One of the city tram routes used to go along Hay Street. The ferries there look similar to the ferries on the Yarra River here. That large bird statue may be an albatross. 33:40: we Aussies actually call that a Merry-Go Round or a Carousel. A Ferris Wheel for us is like the London Eye. Anyway, take care. Rob.

Wonderful tour, Tom. So many good shots, views. Thanks very much for a job excellently done. When you focused on the names near the Bell Tower, I got curious and found what they were about. From Wikipedia An inlaid path made of ceramic tiles initially surrounded the tower, with each tile consisting of a list of some of the youngest and oldest cohorts of students from nearly every school in Western Australia from 1999, arranged alphabetically by school name. As of March 2014, the tiles were removed as part of the Elizabeth Quay project, but have since been reinstalled in a new artwork to the east of the tower. ... ...[The "Royal Bells"] are the only set known to have left England.

Hi Tom. Hubby and I recently found your videos, after looking up videos on Tasmania. Unfortunately, you didn’t visit the North West, where we hope to settle (maybe next time 😉). But we loved your videos of Adelaide (where we live) and the Perth/Freo videos have been awesome. I have always wanted to visit and now want to visit even more! I agree with you, that we often take our beautiful country for granted. We are very blessed 😊.

Looks a lot bigger and busier than Adelaide.

Perth used to be smaller than Adelaide in size and population, but in recent years, it has surpassed Adelaide in population size, making it the fourth largest Australian city., after Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

@@RGC198 Yeah I've been to both. Perth is a bigger and busier version of Adelaide. More going on, feels like more is happening. More concrete, more urban and skyscrapers. Still smaller and quieter than the Eastern states tho especially because of how spread out the city is. Only benefit of Adelaide is the distance to the Eastern States. It felt like one small sleepy town.

Yes it bigger than adelaide. Adelaide kept architecture. Plus it has hahndoff 30 minutes away. Perth will be better when get cable cars going around it. But has mandurah christmas canals 2 dec to 8 Jan every year.

I don't care what anywhere has!~! I do know that [4] places in the world, like Sydney, Toronto, Seoul, and Jakarta are heavily affected by the g20-summit, making it in the middle of nowhere!~!
