Why not? Today’s multibillionaires certainly could buy jewelry of any sort they wanted. Other than royalty, most of today’s super rich would probably not wear the kind of jewelry in her collection. Styles have changed. What is impressive is that Elizabeth Taylor willed the proceeds from the sale of her jewelry to her HIV/AIDS work. I think that meant more to her than all her jewelry.

I'm never sure if her beautiful eyes are dark hazel that change from violet to teal or navy in different lighting. Unique and every change goes with that most beautiful face. One piece of jewelry not mentioned is the Ping Pong diamond that Burton gave her. I believe it was a perfect 1/4 carat diamond. I do not remember why he gave it to her. Did she beat him in a game of ping pong? This video was amazing in cataloging her incredible collection of jewels. Thank you.

Each person here has their favorite! My birthstone is emeralds, used to be most expensive gem of all. Not sure what’s highest now-maybe tanzanite🤷‍♀️? My fave is the rubies! Her ring turned into a necklace-STUNNING- and the diamond encrusted zebra! The white enamel is good too. Gotta admit-her Cleopatra stands as THE epitome of epic and wearing her emeralds 😱wow those costumes were beyond incredible! Either Ben Hur or Cleopatra were THE top two most expensive films ever made. I think Ben Hur made a slight profit while Cleo made little if any it’s said. No. Way back Burton and Taylor were the only two guests on a talk interview about the diamond (Mike Douglas). Elizabeth was crazy over it - Burton paid something like ten million for that diamond and it was all over the news because it was the most spectacular diamond at that time. As a matter of fact - you have all those buying "prices" off by millions!!!! Please - Thank you very much for showing the pieces. Today, Sharon Osbourne's collection of Jewels is second to Taylor's.

I don’t know anybody in this world who was so greedy as that she was, put that with her mouthing off in general and her demanding entitlement in her daily life, her drug and alcoholic behaviour and… her marriages.
