I think Johnny Carson is funny because I remember when I was a kid my father used to watch it all the time and he was sitting in the chair and laugh very hard because I wasn't catching the humor of what Johnny was put in the cross. As I got older I started catching his sense of humor he was very ornery and funny I watch it today and I laugh like my father used to he is very witty and very smart and got a very high IQ and also hilarious. You know it's funny as kids we say that we would never turn out like our parents I said I would never turn out like my father the more I look at myself and the things I do in the way that I do them I'll be damned I am my father made over. And yes Ann-Margret was absolutely a baby doll. PS the more things change the more they stay the same

Louie seemed under-rated and i don't mean this particular performance which was very popular. I mean, he was relentlessly an absolutely excellent standup comedian for decades, it didn't go wrong, he was always superb. It's almost as if he made it look so easy, was a mellow Minnesotan, so professional that it doesn't get the reverence and cred?

I feel highly blessed to have seen Mr. Winters when I was in college at Texas Tech. When it was announced that he was coming to Tech I got a front row seat reserved. That was a true highlight of my college career. What a crazy show! Near the end a friend of mine yelled out, “Do some improve with the mic!” Winters grabbed the mic stand and started sweeping looking for mine’s. Made a beeping sound and said, “Here’s one. Dig it up.” He did several more skits with the mic and stand that were hilarious. What a genius.

It's a good example of how important practice is - even though he was clearly pretty nervous doing the unpractised interview at the end, you wouldn't have known it while he was doing the stand up that he'd practised so many times before.

Dr. Smith is the funniest conversationalist I have ever seen - talking away and cracking people up all the time. The topics were sublime fun as he chatted away there on the Johnny Carson Show. He even admitted that he was not really able to see a skin rash on certain people, or rather not as well as those certain people could - but knew about being ashy. Hilarious conversationalist. Rare humor.

This is a late night show. The ones that we watch now can’t even come remotely close but neither does the talent that can be interviewed.

Always loved John Candy. Just discovered Maureen O’ Hara, after watching The Quiet Man recently. Will definitely check out Only The Lonely and her other movies. What a class act.
