真夜中のドア / Stay With Me - Miki Matsubara (Cover)

Stay With Me foi o single de estreia da Miki Matsubara, lançado em 1979, quando ela tinha apenas 19 anos. A música estourou pra além de terras japonesas e garantiu à cantora uma carreira de muito sucesso. Porém, após um súbito hiato, ela faleceu aos 44 anos, de câncer, que foi descoberto já em estágio avançado.
41 anos depois do lançamento de Stay With Me, ela voltou a fazer sucesso a partir de uma trend no Tiktok em que adolescentes gravavam a reação de suas mães (que conheciam a música), o que acabou furando a bolha novamente e ressuscitando o interesse global pelo chamado City Pop, gênero japonês que traz elementos da música urbana ocidental.
Nós da banda amamos essa música!, e essa foi nossa homenagem.
OBS: esse é o primeiro e único (até agora) cover ocidental de Stay With Me!

Her life story is so sad. Miki was diagnosed with uterine cervic cancer, which she kept a secret for a long time from people and carried on with her music career. she battled cancer for 3 years. 2 months before her death, miki wished nobody would listen to her music and said she had regretted her music career as a whole, because she spent her life being too focused on making music and didn't live her life fully enough. miki spent the last 2 months of her life with her family, and later passed away at the age of 44. she told her husband that she wished she could restart her life again and live it more fully. Rest in peace miki, your song is loved and appreciated by many 😭😭😭😭
