I can't imagine doing this on a motorcycle. It is steep on those switchbacks. Husband and I hiked this 3 years ago. Going back this month. We are 64 and 63. Hike while we can.

Good job it does get a little spicy at times but the rewards at the top are worth it. We hike as well, I love those Colorado 14ers! You might enjoy this vid….. Uncompaghgre Peak a ride/hike combo to 14,309 feet! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5K3oINqrMp7l68

Thanks for watching and yea it was on hell of a ride. I love me a destination ride and this did not disappoint. Pristine single and a chunky climb to the top. I got the impression it was a seldom ran trail? Lot's explore in the area and we plan to re visit this summer.

Awesome video. I spend a month or two a year in WY. What bike are you riding?
@mikecolesvidsАй бұрын
This was near Alpine so very western WY and the machine is a KTM 300 xcw two stroke. And thanks for watchin. Neat to see this older vid. We ride so many different areas that I had completely forgot about this ride. Makes me want to got back next summer.

Thanks it was a chunky climb to the top! I’m looking forward to getting back there too as we’ve only scratched the surface. I’ve been doing some research and there’s a remote alpine lake in that area I’d like to check out.

@Carson Kaufman thanks for watching! The challenge comes in three forms - steep, loose surface, and duration. It gets steep in a few sections and the switchbacks are tight and require almost a pivot turn. The surface in places is almost powder like where ya just spin on the gravel powder combo and ya loose momentum when you encounter chunky stuff. And lastly it’s an up and down trail. You’re either climbing or descending, not many places to chill and recover while still moving. It’s a pack mule trail that allows dirt bikes. I got the impression it did not get run much? Go for it but carry your hiking boots. Ride as far as ya can and hike the rest of the way up!

Every time I hear someone call them the Grand Tetons, I think of visiting the El Capitans of Yosemite.

Fairly common, I found it on a big map book of Idaho? But did have to get out the reading glasses to spy it!

Nice! Will be riding close to there in July 2023. Do you have a track you're willing to share of this? A PM would be fine with me.

I'm tired just from watching. Just like mountain biking, takes full concentration or you could endo.

That one had some spice to it for sure! Felt like it was mainly an horse or pack mule used trail and overall saw very little use. The views from the top were well worth the effort. Mandatory cooldown at Melvins after helps. Cheers, and thanks for watchin!
