Elk River Timber Camp 8 - Bottle Digging - Vancouver Island - Rail Logging Camp History.

Attention mid Vancouver Island bottle diggers and history hounds!
Just off of the Gold River Highway is the location of the abandoned Elk River Timber (ERT) camp 8 logging camp. This camp served as the headquarters for the Elk River Timber Company Ltd. which was incorporated in 1929, after buying the International Timber Company . Echo Lake, and this camp are quite well known in the Campbell River and Gold River communities. What may be less well known is the amount of bottles that were left behind when they packed up and left.
This video will show you how to get here and have fun finding your own "treasures".

I had a lot of fun digging bottles, I'm not so sure my wife will approve of me dragging home a whole new category of old junk though!

Nice bottle dump! I think that item you asked about is a level. Years ago I came across one myself and found lots of cool finds but nothing compared to this one.

A large sized British Columbia Distillery Co bottle mostly full of its original contents i believe that could be worth about 50$ guessing you didn’t dump the contents
