Hi Dan, is there any reason you arnt using these heads for elk or whitetail? they look very promising but i dont know if i should use them. looking for your input, you're the man. thank you kindly.

I’ve taken 4 whitetails with the qad exodus.. I don’t see myself switching anytime soon. Fly like darts, I’ve only used the full.
@michaelbushey27878 ай бұрын
Yeah, they fly great, but my experience with them is that they don't make good blood trails imo. But l, when they die within 30 to 40 yards, you dont need a blood trail, or much of one!! 😂😂
@kenraterink8 ай бұрын
@michaelbushey2787 same for my experience also. Awesome head, just wished they had better blood trails for the poorer shots/ hits

I'm sure John Lusk is enjoying some popcorn watching this video!!! I absolutely love these broadheads. I also love that the Innovative Outdoorsmen sells a Stay Sharp guide/ kit to make sharpening the blades easy. Last thing, regarding flight accuracy; I found that with a 4-fletch AAE Max Stealth configuration, my arrows consistently hit the same location of the white dot on my Morrell High Roller at 40 yards. The group tended to not be as consistent with a 3-fletch Blazer configuration at the same distance.

QAD Exodus broadheads are great. They are an awesome choice for those that have shorter draw lengths and lower poundage. My daughter uses them on her setup, right at 50lbs and 26" draw. Complete pass throughs on both of the white tail bucks she's harvested the last 2 years.

You're supposed to remove the little rubber o-ring before putting it on the arrow. It's just to keep the metal collar in place in the package so the blades don't fall out.

Love these broad heads. Been using the 90deg 100g. Shot a black bear and whitetail buck both under 30 yards. Full pass through. Bear jumped from the arrow hitting a log behind him. Buck had two ribs cut clean through and still buried 10” into the ground. Love the chisel tip, easy to sharpen if needed, and fly straight and fairly quiet.

Here in Pennsylvania the “barbed” broadheads are actually illegal but the fulls are legal.
@dirtjunkie27498 ай бұрын
I researched it before I bought exodus swept heads. Didn't see anything against them and asked a warden. Do you have a link to where you found your information?
@dirtjunkie27498 ай бұрын
Only archery rules are peak draw weight no less than 35lbs and broadhead must have outside width of 7/8" or larger and cant exceed 3.25" in length.
@dansmith89338 ай бұрын
I remember seeing something about a barbed broadhead and I asked a warden and he said that barbed heads are in fact illegal but the meaning of barbed it sounds like is up for interpretation This was also a few years ago
@dirtjunkie27498 ай бұрын
@dansmith8933 yeah, it was a couple years ago for me as well. Been shooting the swept the past 2 and a half seasons and have harvested 3 bucks and 2 doe with them. Just looked it up again to see if anything has changed and asked my dad whom is a retired game warden if he ever remembers it being illegal. He says no, but is not sure if anything has changed in the last couple years since he retired, but said it would be listed under the rules. I'm 99.99% sure they are legal in Pennsylvania. Hope this helps if you were interested in hunting with the swept heads
