That’s the sad part. There’s actual troglodytes that bought into it. I tried it at this guys archery shop and I wasn’t impressed. Rattles more than my landslyde, no stop, the finish feels cheap and from what I heard the pins are pretty dim. The slider would be worth it if it was like $300-400, but at $600-700?? I don’t think so.. axcel just launched their driver which imo is just a UV slider for $200-300 less. That’ll be on my bow come 2025

I'd suggest you view Average Jack Archery's review also. Archery isn't immune from price gouging. Yea yea ya get what ya pay for. But are you??? As far as price...for some money isn't the issue in question. It doesn't matter to those who are fortunate in that regard. Quality of product in comparison to bang for ya buck should be the driver.

Dan....Chris Bee's video on the setup and sighting in is pretty interesting after he installs his sight tape. He adjusts the tape to where it lines up at 60, because that's where he obviously ended the sight in, then rotates the slider to 40 to make the center pin 40 THEN moves the indicator needle to 60. I believe this way he doesn't have to "re-find" his 20?

I'm intrigued by this sight. I have the original and thought it was a great sight, but with my aging eyes, the pins would wash out in low light conditions (even with the light). I currently use the Mathews branded Axcel 5 pin sight for hunting and it's been great. But I'm considering upgrading to a 5 pin slider. The two I'm looking at are the Mathews UV and the Axcel Driver. Have you tested the Axcel Driver yet? Thanks for the review Dan! Keep them coming.

Nate did a review on this site. He found that the brake doesn't work correctly. Also it should have metal yardage tapes. Especially for the $700 price tag. The lights should turn off automatically after so long. So, no, it's not worth the cost.

$700 is nuts, my sub $200 Redline RL-2 comes with a dovetail and a great sliding mechanism. If you shoot target archery then this could possibly be more reasonable but not for us average hunters where the longest shots we make are 40 yards.

If you are the type of person that buys and buys once… You will keep this site on multiple bows over the next 10 years… I believe it’s worth it. What’s worth it to some is not worth it to others. Price is not an indicator of value. Don’t lose sight of that. The ergonomics looks second to none. The ability for each user to customize the scope is second to none. With that being said, I have a hard time putting that on a cash down. For me archery is an addiction and I am always onto the next best thing. Ultraview and their corporate story is awesome. They are making everything domestically. We have to expect to pay a premium for that.

I bought the original UV slider for $960 AUD and I feel like I was robbed. The sight is unusable without the light. The light that can and will shut off automatically on you mid shot…

Save yourself any future trouble and look elsewhere than UV. I was only intrigued by them when they made the UV3 scope because it was something new that had not been done in the industry. Having a built in light and cartridges was great for those with 1 bow to shoot 3d, target, and even hunt with it... with that said, the quality of axcel and shrewd was still waay superior to the UV scope. Since then, they have done nothing but continue making mediocre quality stuff with little to no new innovation and at the most extreme price points, being a net negative on the industry IMO. They seem to have a very loyal following that will buy whatever they make without a second thought, and kudos to them for their marketing to work that well... but if you aren't a john dudley wannabe tac shooter, look elsewhere than UV. Axcel sights are what all else is compared to, or MBG and HHA are great for hunting. Easton, victory, or black eagle arrows are excellent and priced at fair market value. For releases, Truball and Stan have everything you could ever need.... I guess what I am getting at is, there are plenty of products out there that are equal or better quality than UV at the same or less cost.

Hey Dan, love your channel. But I have an issue with your previous review of the original UV slider. You are now talking about how the original pins were dim but why was that not mentioned in the original review? PJ Riley from Lancaster said the same thing and I asked him as well on his you tube channel. Every reviewer kept on saying how great the slider was during original review and when I got it, the pins were so dim that I couldn’t shot past 30 yards in bright light. And now all of the sudden everyone started to talk about how the original sight pin was dim. Even Colby from UV said on Facebook he wasn’t sure what everyone was talking about with the dim pin issue. He said the slider and UV2 housing were the same and no one was complaining of the brightness issue with the UV 2 housing. I almost feel like it’s gaslighting but now everyone says “oh yea the pins were dim”

I am not sponsored by any sight company (read that again if need be), so pay close to attention to NOT what's on my bow at the studio, rather what I actually take to the field. The Sight was GREATLY improved. It is much smaller and the scope is all new. Lightened up the bar and I believe they 100% redid all the internals. that being said the price is ridiculous. I refuse to pay that for a sight.

So I come from precision rifle background where price is typically high. Guys spend $3-5,000 on optics alone, not to mention all the other peripheral gear for reloading, range finding, observing, etc. I have a custom rifle with parts/components that are within reason and I’ve won matches and place in the top % of shooters regularly. Skill 100% will always outperform gear. That said, if your goal is to beat a bunch of other guys on the line, spending can get outrageous as ego comes into play. Just buy what works for you. I’m a hunter when it comes to archery. My Black Gold works just as good as my Hoggfather and I could probably I could easily hunt with a Truglo 4 pin and not really care. No need for a UV slider HOWEVER it’s cool to see some of the innovations that they’re coming up with and to know that down the road some of those may be commonplace and affordable later on

The real question is why has it taken them this long to address the fiber issue, every other top tier sight on the market has had great fibers and they’ve hard garbage since their inception, they make quality stuff but HHA, Spot Hogg, Black Gold all make quality stuff and have been doing it for a lot longer for a fair amount less money. This is just a company taking advantage of its fan boys knowing some people will pay for them, just like the UV arrows.

Truly tired of ultraview their products are junk and a gimmick, their release repeatedly fail I’ve had both the uv button and hinge 2 the most over priced releases on the market for what they are, don’t really need to even mention the arrows everyone knows they’re crap, their sights are junk also. But hey if you want to waste your time and money thinking a $700 sight is going to make you shoot better then by all means go for it then when you still shoot like crap then you can finally realize that you should put that money into lessons.
