30 years ago as a teenager I discovered Joe and Ella's album 'Again...' in my dad's record collection. I became a jazz fan and took up jazz guitar because of it.

One of the absolute highlights of my life was seeing Ella and Joe perform live at the Stockholm Jazz and Blues Festival just a few months before Ella passed away. When Joe started playing a solo version of “Summertime,” the entire audience sang along. It was sublime. Ulf: Did you ever meet and/or play with Joe and Ella?
