Vehemently disagree with this. Getting help from my parents would be completely different from them influencing me into a job. No way. And it’s a gross mischaracterization to say that most people would want nepotism. Especially as parents. It’s not about your kids happiness. It’s about the lessons nepotism demonstrate to them going into adulthood. On some level it’s confirmed that “if I really want something, my name can get me in”. And the argument that nepotism is everywhere isn’t the issue that, I’m at least, disagreeing with. It’s true. Doesn’t make it right though. And to say that nepotism isn’t wrong and just shrug it off is a HUGE value problem.
@user-bi4bb6cd9s

My issue with these networks is that instead of calling it for what it is, they're using side narratives to absolve themselves from admitting it. The whole _nepotism is everywhere_ is just stating the obvious. If it's that obvious, then why is it so difficult to admit it?! And the idea that "nepotism is good" is 🐂💩. It's only "good" until you become a victim of it.

@@flynngoodwo Except it wasn't. Late second round contracts are non guaranteed which is why it is technically worse than being undrafted. Hence players (i.e. austin reaves, declined to be drafted by pistons at #42) who could've been drafted in the late second round prefer to be undrafted so that they can choose their team freely. This really sucks. I grew up in the 80s and the 90s. I watched SportsCenter religiously as a kid, and as a teenager. When I got in my 20s, I was working, but there was a show, I’d make sure to record or try to watch every day and that was PTI. It was two guys talking about and arguing sport topics. But that show was truly the downfall of ESPN, because now that’s all they do. I get that a format like SportsCenter wouldn’t work anymore, but they have a bunch of women activist, talking sports and telling me how I should think, I just can’t do it.

Is this a case of nepotism? Absolutely. But aquiring Bronny James was not about nepotism (ultimately), it was about business. Lebron on the Lakers sells and brings in $$$ for the organization. So keeping Lebron happy is key to the Lakers, and aquiring Bronny is a result of that - just like any other perks or incentives the Lakers throw LeBron's way. So once again, I think people should stop focusing so heavily on the nepotism aspect and just accept that this just business being done.

It's hardly suprising how much hate Bronny is receiving. His dad decimated whole franchises for over a decade while nit shutting up and dribbling when it came to social justice. People either really love or really hate him and that has made him easily the biggest draw in the NBA. Drafting NBA players is typically based on projected ability and college performance ( potential can outweigh college performance like it did for Bennet oa d slightly less fir Oden when he was drafted ahead of KD despite his awesomenumbers at Texas his fresan year). Bronny killed it at the combine and yet didn't make it in the 1st round (which makes sense base on his college performance and potential). His delusional detectors re acting like he was lucky to get drafted the 55th Pic without looking as his physically attributes recorded at the combine and his dedication to the game...disgusting.

No, that’s the problem. He averaged four points on a team that didn’t even make it to the NIT. He is a 6 foot 1 shooting guard who can’t shoot, who has a heart problem, that can’t play defense. And that’s the man who gets the guarantee contract.

Most fans know that Bronny is a diamond in the rough and wasn't drafted to be in the starting lineup immediately. The crybaby hater comments are a small whiny minority.

@@donaldlouwe3939 4.8 ppg in like 20 min. His summer league game legit was his college career average. Bronny can’t shoot. He isn’t even that good of a defender. You going to trust him one on one vs a Trae young, Ja Morant or a Jalen Brunson? F no 😂
