Lewis is such an inspirational, genuine and authentic person. He truly is a mentor for anyone willing to learn from his podcast. Thank you Lewis for providing a platform for anyone with internet access to learn from your guests who are willing to share the tools of their success. Thank you Ellen for having Lewis on and exposing people to the School of Greatness, My favorite KZbin channel!

On one end. We have people who dare to dream, have positive empowering mindset and they are humble to learn and get inspired by other people who made it on the top. They DO more than they TALK. And on the other end, we have people who spend more time on internet criticizing others to boost up their lack of self-esteem and antagonizing and blaming others (read: government) for being taken advantage of. However, you'll never see them putting on the effort to backup their claim. They TALK more than they DO.

i agree with Ellen, TEACHERS are key. In some cases it doesn't even matter how resourceful your school is, if your teachers can still manage to get you excited about learning and progressing, that's all you need. Resources are an obvious bonus though.

Also, a very successful woman recently told me that she dropped out of school but the struggle thereafter was so hard that she wouldn't recommend anyone to do the same! Also, if your big question in life is "how to be rich?" then its already a bit of a wrong start. That's not to say that money is not important, it absolutely is. Having enough money to secure your present and future is important, getting "rich" is not. I wish education was more easily available and affordable all over the world. So, go to school if you are lucky enough to be able to!

I loved today's message with Lewis Howes. I feel as though everything happens for a reason and the fact that he got injured and lived on his sister's couch propelled him towards his true purpose. The fact that he ended up with nothing caused him to fight for his life and turn it around. I'm so glad Ellen shared his story with the world because he is a true inspiration to those who are in the struggle! You can tell by the way he talks that he loves what he does. I can't wait to pick up a copy of his book and listen to his podcast to gain insight on how to achieve greatness!!

You never know, @Super Moosie, you might just find something that sparks your interest. Just making your comment is opening something up inside you right now. Actually, "Wish I did." is a statement of a dream or a goal. Your dream, perhaps your goal, is to somehow have something that fires up your imagination, teaches you new skills, meet new people, or just to feel good inside about yourself, your life, that you matter in this world. So you could think about that. Why don't you list some things, just as a lark, that you - or your "alter ego" - would love to do? Let your imagination run wild! Blessed be.

Great story---but please go to school (but don't go broke by trying to go to school in America). If you're in middle school or a freshman/sophomore in high school, study German, Dutch, or French...go to school in Germany, the Netherlands, or Switzerland. You'll save money, get a great degree, learn another culture and be at a huge advantage should you elect to return to the States to work. (You're welcome. 😉)

Anthony Stewart Yeah you should definitely go to school in the Netherlands! Go to Het Bouwens van der Boijecollege;) great school.

noo dont go to switzerland, extremely expensive country to live in. but yes, americans really should study other languages, in germany and switzerland there just arent too many bachelors degrees in english, and you need a pretty good level to be able to study there in german. dont know much about nethelands, you can study in english there though. from my own experience living in finland, thats a good pick too. (finnish is one of the hardest languages to learn though, so maybe dont bother with that so much lol) we have a few business degrees in english that have people around the world coming in to study, from us bc its way cheaper (i think it costs a bit for americans to study here). but its a huge thing to move from america to europe, pretty expensive to go to see your family. but its a good option
@user-kx2qo5pk8u7 жыл бұрын
This year I tried to find work in Dubai , Europe and London. The problem is that you have to know the local language of the country and be qualified in that country as well, unless you have 5-10 years international work experience
@mr.notsocreative5 жыл бұрын
The Travel Guy it costs a lot more money to go to school out of the states. You have to get a new job, place to live, and pay for school, all in a new foreign country. Knowing nothing about the culture or people and very little of the language... this is how people get sold into slavery.

Follow your curiosity! Ask yourself what you're curious about, go try that, and then see what happens after. I know it can feel like a lot of pressure to have a passion, like we're supposed to be born knowing exactly what we want to do, but it's not like that for everyone, and that's ok. Elizabeth Gilbert has an amazing talk about this, and I think it will serve you. You got this! www.oprah.com/own-supersoulsessions/elizabeth-gilbert-dont-chase-your-passion-and-maybe-youll-video
