The way to check if you have bad breath is actually to lick your wrist, wait for the saliva to dry, and then smell it. I've done it, it works.

True, if u brush ur teeth and u havent eaten anything, u just have bed breath like when u woke up. Its all from stomach anyway. I brush my teeth after every, even smallest nibble of food, i cant stand taste of it in my mouth. usually, i never eat/snack/drink anything but water in between main meals.

The part about people who don't eat having bad breath is actually true - apparently the lack of nutrients causes acid reflux or something similar...
