Ellana, I styled a med blue and white stripped short front zippered top. You call them jumpers... With a Blue Paisley with purple, pink, and blue with black leopard spots shirt under it and pecking out!! I would have never done that, and it looked great!! Ellena gives lots of great tips, but sadly I will never have her keen sense of color, proportion, and style. I think some things are simply innate: If I try to shorten a sweater using safety pins I will end up injuring myself, walking around with sharp bits sticking out Iike a porcupine, or both. But I still love to watch for inspiration! She makes affordable basics look soooo chic.

Give yourself some slack. Just slowly try and put things together. It’s a good time right now for trying new ways to style. It’s “anything “ goes. As far as the safety pin situation, I personally would skip this idea. I dont t think it would be comfortable so I’m with you on this trick.

I have tried some of her tricks before, including the safety pins, and surprisingly, they work! I will try with my sweater, because this is a new one. My advice if you are worried about safety is to choose the ones designes for babies. I usually pin the hem of my jeans with those and I have never lost one
