I just really like your projects. When I am doing them I think they are terrible and I almost give up. But then after another Layer and again, it starts to looks like something almost decent! The mushrooms that I did were so fun and they came out really well. And then I did this one this afternoon I am and its completion wasn’t too bad either. I’m glad you support us and sane we can do this. I am a terrible perfectionist and I also give up really easy but your tutorials help me keeping on! Thanks so much and again I love your personality.

Thank you so much for posting this and for your narrative. I've been painting for only 3 months, but I was able to paint it. I may try it again because I couldn't get those bleeds behind the trees quite right. 🤔This is the second tutorial of yours that I did. Thanks again! ❄

Your tutorials are so approachable. Last night I sat and painted the Christmas ornaments, a sketch of the deer face is sitting in my desk, the snow globe is hanging on my wall, and I painted that wintery scene with the bird sitting in the tree which is my favorite and my favorite of the techniques that you offer. This one is similar and it’s jumping to the head of the line! I’m seeing the snow you speak of on the news! I live in North Dakota... no snow here.

Dear Ms Crimi-Trent, thank you so much for your tutorials. I keep coming back to yours while I am learning because they appear to be one of the best around and you are taking me through a slightly higher 'challenge' which is helpful. I so enjoyed this painting (each time I see these I am very unsure if I can do it but when I see the end-result I'm so pleasantly surprised - that is such an amazing gift and talent you have.) Thank you so much for these, it is so appreciated. I'd love to send you my effort (I just can't seem to get the snow as clear/sharp/white as you despite buying W&N gouache (it stinks, doesn't it!?) so not sure what I'm not quite doing right there... I'm off now to buy your beautiful fox in the meadow (we often get a fox through our road here, they're so beautiful). Thanks! Anousjka

Beautiful- looking forward to painting this. Lived in the northwest for years. Tons of snow, but never saw grasses near lakes. Maybe snow was much deeper. Is that something you see in the northeast? One thing I remember is how quiet it is when it snows (except for windy days). Don’t miss putting chains on cars though.

I LOVE your tutorials, been watching them for 3-4 days now. Please explain the difference between white gouache and bleed-proof white. I have the bleed proof, so that’s what I use but my snow effects on the tutorial with red bird on the snowy tree did not work very well. Really looking forward to trying this one. I do have white acrylic, should I use that instead?

I dont use bleed proof white- gouache can be opaque and translucent so I use it both ways in this tutorial.
