LOVE this recipe! It's a go to for easy summer desserts. Now feeding a bunch of elderly people in my bubble buddy group, all with a plethora of health issues. So, I have had to modify greatly - however it still turns out beautifully. Just a little more work, but so worth it to make my group happy. This can also be made with fresh fruit in season. And I also made this with a Tuscan melon, similar to cantaloupe. It turned out better than I expected and it was a "test" pie and those that enjoyed it said it was a keeper! So go out and get creative people. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this recipe! This is so simple and packs a punch with a minimum of effort. Love to all.

Hey Ellen! I love that you love this pie too. I'm 57 and my mom was from Georgia and this was pie is our family tradition every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now my 3 daughters all make them to, but they just use Keebler graham cracker crust. You can't beat a homemade crust though and.. They are better after a couple days in the fridge because all the ingredients meld together and just get better. This pie is so easy, versatile and delicious!!!!

My pie never sat up. It’s runny. I looked at other recipes and they only used 1/4 or 1/3 cup lemon juice. Did you mean to say 1/2 cup. Going to go to store and buy all the ingredients again and use 1/4 lemon juice. Fingers crossed. Darn it!! Sure tastes good but it’s like soup. Hmm?

Did you forget the fresh enough juice? It creates a chemical reaction and causes it t to thicken. It's not optional. I've made them for forty plus years and it's just 1/8 oz block of cream cheese one can of sweetened condensed milk blend until smooth then add your vanilla flavoring and a quarter cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice then blend them together and quickly put them into your crust and get them in the fridge because they start to thicken and set up right away. If you follow that recipe you will have no fail results.😊
