My husband passed May 13,2024. He was a Vietnam Vet and was exposed to Agent Orange which was responsible for his illnesses in later years. We had a Military Ceremony at his funeral with the presentation of the flag. I have the flag and his Urn on the mantle. This weekend will be quite meaningful to me. I praise the VA for his care the last few years. That scripture was read at his funeral. Thank you Becky

I recently had the misfortune of ending life support for my brother a Navy Vet a week before his 73rd birthday...as I am his only relative in State..we have one other brother in Florida.. I had been his caretaker for the past 7 years... I was alone waching his body gasp trying to remain alive...now I know he is no longer in those last moments however I'm struggling with the vision and guilt of denying him minutes..days..or longer of life...please say a prayer to release me of this burden... Monday I will be attending the service for Memorial Day at the Camp Nelson Cemetery...may God bless and protect us all 🙏... 🌿🌿🌿

The Lord has appointed a day for each of us..be comforted and know your brother was delivered out of his agony. He is healed and waiting for all your family , where no tears or sorrows exist!! My dad passed on March 31st - Easter morning. He was a Korean Navy veteran. My daughter planted alyssum for him at his grave already, and we will also be putting out a grave decoration for him, honoring his service on Memorial Day, and having a memorial picnic for him on the 4th of July, which he loved so much. This seems like a very good dessert to make for that. Thank you, Becky, for the lovely and flexible dessert idea, and happy Memorial Day to you! ❤

This recipe is the one I've been looking for! (without sweetened-condensed milk) I buy heavy whipping cream monthly for my coffee. Since I'm disabled at home without a vehicle, I'm stuck with what grocery/delivery shows "available" online. Now, I can make a refrigerator pie with either lemon, lime, or berry flavor!! Thank you and this sounds yummy; I plan to make it. Years ago, there was a no-bake recipe in the Knox Gelatin cookbook and we loved it. It wasn't difficult to make, but different than your recipe. It basically called for liquid, plain gelatin, cream cheese, sugar, probably some vanilla. Instead of using water, I used orange juice and for the crust, crushed up Pecan Sandies (cookies). Like you, I enjoyed prepared pie fillings for the toppings!

Thank you for the recipe. I needed a fast dessert today so I took a white cake mix added 3 c. of frozen zucchini I defrosted and I squeezed out well and added the eggs and oil but a little less water…….I topped it with choc chips and oh my sooo good.
