Hello, Coffee and Cake... I choked on my drink when Paul claimed the two of you don't actually like coffee and cake XD I feel like a huge part of society has forgotten how to be polite since the pandemic started. Re the canal rage incident. I think there’s a lot of stress in Society right now. I notice it, particularly when driving in the car. There’s nearly always, someone glued to my rear bumper. I think you definitely did the right thing, letting the guy past. You just can’t be sure where that level of confrontation will lead, it’s simply not worth getting involved. I guess there is and you never know what someone is dealing with. We nearly didn’t put it in but we did say he may have issues and we tried to deal with it in a positive way. You only have to see some of the news reports to see how things escalate so the easiest thing was to let him past and get on with the day. The light on the canal and the trees was really lovely. Then there was the jerk. (It took me a while to relax after that and I was just watching a video!) Those folks always seems to pop up in the midst of peace and beauty to try to spread their misery around. Reminded me of more dangerous moments driving on highways when people come up close behind you like that, and then zoom past giving you a dirty look or even shouting at you. I always think such people are already punished just be being who they are (because it is hard to imagine a worse punishment than being them and living in such a miserable mental world!). And the blog ended with a fisherman shaking his head at you!😂But the bright and beautiful world is always still there for us to enjoy.

Hey James. I’m he Llangollen didn’t disappoint, such a lovely canal. We were shook up by the incident. Couldn’t believe how aggressive he was. We let him passed as we didn’t want hours of that behaviour but decided we should cut him some slack. Like you said, it is punishment enough going through life like that. Fortunately it is very rare to come across this and the canal still remains a tranquil place to live. 😂, totally forgot about that fisherman. See the tailgating every day going to work. That and people swerving, only to find they are on their phones! The boat definitely provides a safe haven. Have a lovely week and take care ❤

We haven’t either Crichie which made it all the more shocking. It did shake us up a bit but easier to let him pass and carry on with a stress free day. Guess you never know what people are dealing with. Aww I should of filmed the Bara Brith. It is lovely with a bit of butter. Currently frozen in and have been since Wednesday 😬. There is flow on the Llangollen so when you go into the tunnel in the direction we were travelling in, it starts to drag you back, it was a weird experience. Hope you have a lovely week ❤

Beautiful scenery and colours, it would be today as well since snowing heavy in North Wales. At least as you said, grumpy, discourteous boaters are very far and few between, and you did get a kind of apology, nearly. Aww thank you. The Llangollen was beautiful. We were paused in the centre of the canal chatting to someone who watches the channel. When we realised there was a boat coming up we carried on. He was really aggressive but didn’t want it to spoil the day so when we could, we pulled over. There were moored boats along that stretch so we were going in tick over. Definitely no place to be speeding but we didn’t let it spoil the day and he may have had stuff going on so like I said to Paul, we cut him some slack. Hope you have a lovely evening and take care ❤

I did the Llangollen canal last year in July for a week and it’s was like bumper cars , people were very rude , in a rush , even bump into you on purpose which knocked our dog off the boat , I eventually lost my temper with one guy that repeatedly bumped into us because we were waiting to go through chirk tunnel , I still love canal boats and the Llangollen canal is stunning but it attracts so many holiday boaters that want the maximum out of their holiday and worse day boaters that want to get to the end and back in one day (which we took all week)

Hey Chris. Oh no. Sounds like you had a right time of it. This guys wasn’t a holiday boater and we deliberately left it late in the season to avoid the madness. No idea what his issue was but definitely easier just to pull over and let him go so we could enjoy the experience. We met so many lovely people though. I would have lost my temper had Dexter been hurt. Definitely not advisable to try and do it in a day. Hope you are enjoying your weekend ❤

There was one piece of music, where a piano in the right channel just started as Paul finished talking, and before the cut to the next scene, which worked. Well done to Paul for his creative editing. Loving the chat and banter, although this week you were much nicer to each other (Not much teasing) and you both knew which way you were going (now I'm teasing...sorry)😀 Really sorry that Paul cut his head Ouch!!!! Hope it healed well. Anthony you are a Super Chef and Baker, you know how to make anything, so impressed. That loaf you talk about, I had never even heard of it. That guy you encounted on the stalker boat, I too would have been shocked and upset with that experience. Anthony it's interesting that you wont go on a bus or a train. I have not been on a bus since pre-covid, and have only done one return train trip to London since Covid, too many people. It's amazing that the wind can blow a very heavy Narrowboat off it's course, nature is wonderful (perhaps not for the Narrowboat). Missed not seeing Dexter, so Hello to Dexter. When I attended my RYA Helmsman course a boater on a permanent mooring went absolutely nuts at my trainer and I. Nothing particularly interesting happened but clearly he mistaken us for another boater earlier that day who must have sped past as he was ranting and raving about his boat being damaged. It got so bad I handed back control and was a little shaken up by the event! Not quite what you expect when travelling 2.5knots

Just a thought. How about something like a high box or platform so Decter can be higher up and comfortably sitting or lying down and watch the scenery going past as you cruise.

I'm never disappointed with any of your vlogs - this one is no exception. What a beautiful waterway. This has to be one of the most picturesque canals on the whole of the system.
