I am so happy seeing my home state of New Mexico having such beautiful minerals and giving you a gift of a lifetime. My husband and I have planned to go to that area but have to wait till the weather cools down. Thank you for not just showing us your adventures but for teaching us too, that’s why we love all your videos.

Thank you so much for watching. I’m so glad you liked it. I love New Mexico. It’s an amazing state full of minerals and so much beauty. It was very warm when I went. I was only wearing a jacket and pants to shield myself from the sun. Otherwise I would’ve been wearing shorts and a T-shirt. I hope that you can make it up there and I hope you find some thing. Amazing.

I went to Luna with Arizona Rockhound Expeditions two months ago. It was great! I even found a 29 lb chunk of agate in a road cut. Only about a quarter size section was visible above ground. I haven’t cut into it yet, as my saw is much too small. I was a little baffled to find that the BLUE chunk of agate, is now WHITE.

I love your videos and this one was pretty exciting. The giant agate is totally awesome. The dogtooth crystal ball at 8:44 is super neat. It's nice you had friends to share the excitement with. Thanks for sharing the pursuit of the elusive Luna Blue.

Heck yeah!!! The agate and quartz is similar to southeastern Missouri. Everything in Missouri is weird though I’m guessing this is a more typical hydrothermal type deposit. I just learned Missouri minerals are epithermal lol still not sure what that means. Great to see everyone excited 💎👀
@ElleyKnowsRocks Жыл бұрын
It means the deposit happened with low temperature water. Not as hot as a Hydrothermal geothermal activity. The same type of process happens through void fulfillment of silica rich, warm water fluid. :)

I'm jealous that you got to go to New Mexico looks like so much fun in such a beautiful agate!! But please come down and listen to the best sounded homeless guy you have ever heard!!! I don't know why but people have a problem with me down here because I don't have no money I don't ever beg for money I never asked for nothing? So I don't understand why if they're jealous because I'm homeless and have more fun than they are? But I'm starting to get a complex and I need some support and inspiration!

The Luna area is loaded with minerals. The "Luna Blue" is not that rare. I have 7 20 gallon buckets full of it. We have found blocks of it over 50 lbs. A little bit rarer is the "Luna Gold". The mineralization zone is huge. It stretches from Escudillo Mountain just north of Alpine, east to the Apache Creek and Aragon region and down will into the Gila National Forest. The pink you were finding is fairly common, but there is also a lavender that is spectacular. We hear that the Escudillo Mountain area is very productive after several years of devastating fires and then the resultant erosion means the rocks are easier to find.,

You probably have a fossilized shells get replaced with silica. During the fossilization process And therefore are as hard as the mineral or rock.
