Those are all amazing! I've been wanting to go find some there but, I've had major heart problems from my diabetes. I would love to find some like those one day before my time runs out. Finding Crystals has been a passion of mine since I was little. Thank you for sharing, it gives me hope and Bryan Major with little adorable Matrix is a good friend 🙏♥️ I tried to meet with him a few times but, I was too ill. Love your videos, they encourage me not to give up.

Bryan Major the crystal collector,got me into finding hundreds of lbs of crystals, and as I was prospecting, I've found around 10 thousand perfect crinoid and horn coral fossils, Bryan wants me to travel with him , so maybe 2024 will be the awesome day, that I will be looking for crystals with the crystal collector

Dugway geodes are so pretty and the rock around the crystal center is pretty too. Someone said these are technically more similar to thundereggs I don’t know if it’s because of the rhyolite or how it’s formed. I can’t wait to check this place out.

Question: We live in Minnesota. We look for Lake Superior agates. But what other precious/semi-precious rocks can we find in Minnesota? And where?

Question for anyone qualified to answer, at what point would one be concerned about the potential for collapse? It looks pretty far under? We just visited site 2, and while there were many large sloping pits in the area we visited, none provided direct access to the correct layer. We didnt have time to dig our own hole! Next time we camp and bring the big tools!

FYI, dugway geodes are florescent and will glow under uv light.

What an adventure! The finds were amazing and it looks like everyone was having an excellent time. I honestly don't know how you aren't doing a dance of pure enthusiasm the entire time. I'd be practically, accidentally digging out treasure as my feet shuffled and bopped along.

Rock rant! Everyone says Dugway geodes, but aren't they thunder eggs? Everyone would lose their minds if I called Union Road agates St. louis thunder eggs, even though they really do resemble thunder eggs they're not they're geodes. Whatever when I go here someday I'm callin 'em Dugway THUNDER EGGS lol
@minnisauce Жыл бұрын
A geode is a rock with a hollow in it. Not all geodes are thunder eggs because they can also be hollow, as shown in the video. A thunder egg is solid all the way through.
@dustinfindsrocks Жыл бұрын
@@minnisauce My understanding was that thunder eggs formed in rhyolite and could also be called geodes if hollow inside.
@ElleyKnowsRocks Жыл бұрын
So I have just posted a short series about the difference between geode, thunder, eggs, agate, and agate geodes. A thunder egg can actually be considered a geode if it has a hollow in the middle with crystals. But thundereggs is really just a solid form of Agate or Chalcedony within a Rhyolite spherulite .

Have you seen any UFOs out there before cuz I have and I saw it at Simpson springs the clouds were low and I saw what I thought was a truck or something coming from the direction of the base area not far from that rock quarry to the west of Simpson springs where them green rocks are but the light I saw was ki da weird and I couldn't hear anything like a truck coming it was totally quiet so I asked my friend if he had a flash light and he did so I started flashing the light towards the light then all of a sudden this light flew over to where we were and it was about a quarter mile away and about 500 feet in the air and totally quiet but super bright but the light was not casting light which was a trip and it wasn't a helicopter either and it just sat there in the sky below the clouds and we started tripping out thinking this thing isn't from earth so we got back in the truck thinking we might get abducted then the light shot out over the desert floor about 25 feet above the ground and it took off andvwent over the mountain to the south it a couple seconds it was very fast and as it went over the mountain I noticed it had 2 red lights on it like tail lights on a car and I got this thought In my mind that it was so alien kid out for a joy ride and came down to earth to mess with us earthlings

Im not trying to be rude, but it kind of bothers me the way you take the rocks dan found out of his hand and how you keep telling him how to do things. I get that you are the geologist, and youre a really good one, but personally, if it were me, I would feel very undermined. You seem fun to be around and seem very excited so I understand and I'm m not hating, just something I would want someone to help me be aware of if I was posting KZbin videos and wanted some feedback. (: I plan on going to the geode beds and this video informed me a bunch and makes me want to go even more! Thanks for sharing! 😊 You three seem wonderful.❤

seems to me that you are still here, and it got you to click cause if you skipped videos like this then we shouldn't be seeing a comment from you explain why you don't do whatever but are still here commenting!!! hmmm now that says allot about the hypocrisy of some people's kid's huh!!!!!

@johnmichael1291 not to mention didnt actually watch all the way thru to where they WEIGHED the big one 😅 . no attention span and still complaining. People seem to expect the highlight to show within the first 90s or it's click bait. Good luck!
