You really can't go wrong with any Billie Eilish song. I don't think she's made a bad song. Her musical style is kind of all over the place, in a good way, so with some songs it comes down to personal preference. Therefore I Am is newer and was filmed during the pandemic which is why it's kind of minimalist. All of the food is basically a middle finger to all of the people that had been body shaming her on Twitter. Everything I wanted is kind of a twist, because she wrote a lot of that when she was really depressed and suicidal. When she first started writing the song, "everything she wanted" was actually too die, not be rich and famous. By the time it was finished she was in a better place mentally and the song started leaning more toward her relationship with her brother. Knowing that really changes the song. They write music together. The meaning behind everything i wanted is Billie having a dream where she committed suicide from jumping off the Golden Gate bridge but nobody cared, but as soon as she wakes up, Her brother is there to console her. The song was originally meant to be Billie wanting to commit suicide like in the lyrics, But her brother who she writes with refused to make a song about that so they chose to make it about their relationship. "As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you. Don't want to lie here, but you can learn to. If I can change the way that you see yourself, You wouldn't wonder why you're here, they don't deserve you." then proceed for him and billie to drive into the water as in "If you want to die, we die together."

The whole driving in the water with her I interpreted more as being a representation of Finneas going with Billie through the dark parts of the situation, and being there by her side even when she goes "deeper" and darker, he's there going through it with her.

That was quite a tame selection of videos by her standards :-) Ocean Eyes video was essentially a cheap video filmed at a studio (I think as a present) before she got big. Therefore I Am was shot in Covid I think, so basically it was just her, one person with a camera and a big empty place.
