I mean no disrespect but didn’t he audition for the parts knowing what the parts were about… it’s not like someone forced him to audition and keep playing the roles he claims made him have panic attacks for the way the character was to be dressed.

no hate what so ever but it is possible he was feeling dysphoric with out knowing the language used to to describe his feelings even if he auditioned there is pressures of womanhood for trans men/trans masculine people (like playing a pregant woman in a show for example, wearing dresses)like you feel this type of obligation to perform womanhood prior to realizing ur trans and not having the words to describe the kind of discomfort you feel performing that. not saying thats his exact experience but that is a common experience for trans mascs (myself included) not all ofc and some even enjoy feminity/pregnancy/dresses etc but i hope that explains it a bit for ya!!

Yeah, that's what these transgender people do not understand. It is not about being a man or a woman, they are just not comfortable with being in a human body. I do not blame them at all, the truth is the human body was designed wrong, or wrongly genetically modified. I fancy neither gender so to me gender change is stupid! Just do your best to live in the body/gender you were born. The body is fragile enough without putting it through unneccessary surgeries to overcome. Elliot Page like many transgender place too much emphasis on gender, masculinity, and femininity, let us see how much happier she will be at being a fake male. I agree with her that being a feminine woman sucks!...long hair, dresses, high heels, make up etc. But by becoming a fake male is not the answer. She could have dialed down the femininity and stopped wearing dresses, high heels, long hair makeup. Not all women adhere to feminine code of conduct and they are not lesbian either. Just be comfortable in your gender and ignore masculine or feminine conduct. I understand this might be hard for people to comprehend.

I think he's probably still got a lot to work through, all the years of depression, reckoning with all the work he did in the past, as well as his issues with food and body dysphoria. That's a lot to process and i feel like will probably take years of therapy. i think those things don't just completely go away when you transition after several decades of having to live in a way that made you so unhappy. I think with time, help and getting used to his new life, he'll hopefully be happier. But i think that's just the reason he still seems unhappy. And i hope he can adjust from that and live his life to the absolute fullest. ♥️

Except Elliot actually truly is a trans person-? Not just some “tomboy who hates wearing dresses.” It even mentions how he’s fully transitioned: Top & Bottom surgery complete. So idk if I’ve missed your point then? Cuz I’m a bit confused. And even with that fact aside- It’s still pretty evident what the message was meant to be about… Which included his journey up until the transition & then gives an example of a past traumatizing “norm” he had been faced with by being forced to wear clothing for the opposite gender that he identifies with in his heart.

But really what people wear, cut off, add on, or change is up to them and I hope they are happier for it. Facts also matter. Not just people's feelings. Truth matters. Biological truths remain.

It’s also reductive to the feminist movement to say, “well women have long hair and wear dresses” yet that seems to be the level of depth of most trans people. Yes, yes very moving and pc but privilege absolutely does Equip one with the financial tools to seek help and address mental health, and white privilege ensures you don’t get shot by police while you have a “movie worthy” freak out because some Karen witnessed it and immediately called the cops. White privilege affords you the opportunity to vent your “ struggle on Oprah while she looks on with empathy for someone who profited while female and will continue to profit as a male or a green et should he choose to be. Meanwhile in the real world my best friends black lesbian daughter has attempted Suicide several times is receiving Subpar services for her Deteriorating mental health that her mother can barely afford and is now working two jobs to support all while going through a divorce and having her other children resent her for being unavailable. So excuse me while I cringe and role my eyes at Elliot and Oprah’s complete detachment from reality. I’m unmoved. Oprah should interview and lend that platform to those he really need it. Somehow I doubt he’s rejecting royalties from said movies he made as a woman. Nor should he but his story is one of Perseverance due to the fact that he is and was privileged during his mental mental health struggle. Most are not so fortunate.

@@lifewithdraco4242 I don't think Elliot has denied that he has privilege and what you said about privilege isn't something I want to fight against. Privilege helped him, but others, like your friend's daughter are not as fortunate. I never said all the other people suck. I care about your friend's daughter too. Her story should be heard and she should be given better help. I stand by my stance that we have to help anyone and that desperate mental health claims all sorts of people and I always believed privilege makes it better compared to someone without it and that this is all individual. I'm not sorry for caring about Elliot. I am sorry you felt I would not care about your friend's daughter. I want her situation to get better. I'm sorry for her mother too.

I don't know what to say that hasn't been said before. I grew up in a male-dominated family and in life have often struggled; went from wearing very tomboy clothes to very feminine ones. Didn't really know who I wanted to be. Went through periods where I envied men and thought being a guy was easier, but then went through just as many times when I felt happy to be a woman. I feel like life is just hard, period. Whatever gender you are. There were times I wanted to change my body but now I feel comfortable with it. If I had to make an educated guess, it seems to me like one of the root causes of Page's suffering is gender roles in society, perhaps not necessarily his body but the role he was expected to play. I know I suffered from this too, I still do sometimes, but did not feel the need to change my gender. Perhaps for some people they literally feel like their body is the problem.

Yeah, instead of realizing it’s the people they’re around or the pressure they’re allowing to be placed on themselves or manufacturing internally they decide to cut themselves up and rot their bodies inside out because…. The problem couldn’t be their thinking or mental health. It’s GOTTA be their actual body they’ve been in their whole lives, in many cases with zero issues…. Until they hear they can just point to a made up explanation and be immediately bombarded with praise and “love” and be protected by the fellow cultists. All while pretending to get closer and closer to an unattainable them that is a figment of their imagination that they’ve convinced themselves is real and want to force everyone else to pretend it is too. I feel bad for her but she’s ultimately an adult. Great career move I’ve gotta say

@mayankZed Жыл бұрын
@burgato877 You just repeated a blank definition with no logical explanation.. That gender is actually decided by that person itself, based on a predisposition (psychological and physiological) built over time due to overall experiences from childhood.. one side takes over in their mind and body, the way they want to see themselves. But now a days due to so much support from the world that side is incentivised and becomes a strong force. you can never see a rabbit shape in the clouds if you have never yourself seen a rabbit in your life. similarly a person who wants to change their gender has to have seen and had experiences with the opposite gender. Hence the external factor plays into this and the way they experienced it plus how their brain is naturally made to function.
