About your wrist pain: I really enjoy using the Logitech mice on my Mac (I use the M720 Triathlon), they have a ton of customisability through the Logi Options app (you can basically map shortcuts and do all the gestures you can with the built in trackpad). Hope this helps :)

Occupational Therapist here. You have what we call an RSI aka repetitive strain injury. Lots of ways to deal with it depending on severity and if it's progressed to carpal tunnel BUT you can get a brace support that allows wrist to remain in neutral position. This is the best way to let the area rest and recover. Wear at night and at day if able. Minimise too much bending and twisting of rest esp during editing. The key is to use support that allows the wrist to be in neutral.
