When i was getting over my ex and looking at different advice about men and dating, I remember this comment still. The woman wrote that she had been dating a man for 4 years and finally insisted that they get engaged. He said “but i’m not even sure i’m ready for a relationship.” So in that one sentence she found out that he didn’t even consider her to be anything serious. Basically, she was someone to have sex with and not be lonely. That smacked me awake. Some men don’t give a damn about wasting your time. They just will. Don’t let it happen to you.

It's strange they say that but when you start seeing other men and position them back at the bottom of the dating shelf a of a sudden they want a serious relationship. That's why you never date just one guy UNTIL he wants to be serious. A man knows in the first 5 mins of meeting a woman if she's wife potentia. So true. Dating a guy 5 months. From day one I he never had me guessing. Communication daily from him! Since day one! We are off dating sites and in a committed relationship. Not one fight yet. And in the beginning he was going too fast, I did slow him down. And boy he is investing his resources in me big time. Droves 90% of time to my part of town. Helps me with little things here and there. He sends me poems. Says he thinks about me all the time. Always wants to see me. He said I’m a unicorn!

Eh, i would say that nothing works when he’s not in love with you. My boyfriend said “i’m not looking for a relationship.” We were truly friends. Nothing physical. And i did nothing to chase him. We still talked and hung out. But we both fell in love. There was a day where he said “i love you. I want to make you happy.” It’s the most wonderful relationship i’ve ever had. I think the key is not chasing and being honest with your standards. He knew i would not get involved with a man that didn’t want a serious relationship. It was months before he got up the courage to say he loved me. It’s been fantastic ever since.

Had a FWB for the summer. Agreed to only hooking up. After the summer, I mentioned that we want different things and decided to break it off and he said himself too he doesn't want to feel like he is using me. I think it’s MUCH easier for women to adhere to the “rules” than for men. Men will approach 1 women 10-50x more than 1 man will approach 10-50 women and actually have a chance, hope that makes sense. Women are the gatekeepers. The right guy will be consistent and show up for you. The bad ones will walk away without you being heartbroken.

Absolutely.l!! (A very lengthy story that l'll do my best to keep short. Bear in mind that l am leaving a lot of it out.) l lived with a 60 year old manchild a few years ago. l had to do and pay for everything. He lived under my roof, ate my food & rarely helped out. l barely made/make ends meet on my own. l tolerated that for far too long, in the end what did it was him complaining to my (female) best friend about my cooking etc and lied that l was saying bad shit about her. lt very nearly the end of the friendship. He had half assed left me and convinced her for him to move in with her. Yes, he was trying to get with her. She didnt want that and contacted me to take him back. Wasn't until then we started talking and resolved the friendship which he attempted to end, to isolate me. He knew he'd fkd up big time. l did take him back (26/12/22) but only for her and her 3 kids well being not for his. l dont have children. He was back for 3 days before l kicked him out, permanently (29/12/22). He went to stay at his sisters because he had nowhere else to go. Dunno where he is now and l don't really care either. l'm dating a great man now, taking it slow (l learned from that mistake) and we "fit" so much better that it just highlights how crap my ex was. What do I do if we’ve been talking for just over two months now and already established that we’re both looking for a relationship but I feel he isn’t consistent enough He calls me regularly every other day /two-3days and I personally feel like I need more consistency. I’ve voiced this about 3weeks ago and he’s said he’d try to change it but it’s still the same (I’ve mentioned it an again within the 3weeks)… what do I do . Leave or stay and see if it evolves FYI we’ve been in two different countries for about a month now but I’m working towards getting back to where he is and he knows it .

Here's an example. Two girls, college age. Public pool. One girl sits in the corner, but wears her college sweatshirt to show she's college age. She puts her face in her phone as she walks out.
