I disagree with Friedman! It’s up to J.T. to fit in to the team concept. The team doesn’t need to bend to anyone. He is under contract to play. Period! Play the game regardless if you don’t like your teammates. If you didn’t want to play here then don’t sign a contract to be a Canuck. If there was a serious reason for J.T. to be away from the team then okay. If he was just being a crybaby then too bad . Just man up. If he walked away from the team because he couldn’t get along with the other players then that’s disgraceful and disrespectful. If he had a real reason to be away then he deserved the space he needed. If not the be a professional and do your job.

Having two assistant captains that are not able to work together is a big problem. They don't have to be the best of friends. But the can't have their problems effect the rest of the team. If it comes down to it and they can't work things out, then maybe management will have to step in and trade one of them. The only problem is no matter who they trade the other team will want the Canucks to sweeten the deal by adding another player or they'll have to cover part of his salary for the duration of his contract or if it's Peterson they'll want both.
