BAP is different from other kpop groups. They have an edge. They showed it with this mv.

B.A.P. (which stands for Best Absolute Perfect) are known for their deep (often dark) lyrics and message within their songs and MVs. They are known for the fact that they aren't afraid to take on some of the bigger societal issues that many people in Korean culture are reluctant to talk about. So what you saw were duel endings to this MV, which showed how no matter how the situation played out, there was no good ending for anyone who chose to take part in criminal activity. The ultimate message in the "One Shot" MV was if you are involved in gangs and crime, no matter how you play things you will always lose. You will either die or you will get caught and go to prison. You only have "One Shot" in life and you better make the right decisions. Its a social commentary on gang culture and the gang lifestyle. B.A.P was making a statement about corruption within society and how no matter what you do if you chose to walk that path it will always turn out bad in the end. B.A.P. are also known for often teasing to more than one song on their album within an MV. So in the "One Shot" MV you also heard a few of the other songs from their album. The song that was playing when they were on the yacht was one of their other songs from this album, as well as the songs you hear when they rob the armored car and when they meet the other gang in the subway, etc. The bunny is B.A.P''s mascot and you will see it in the majority of things that B.A.P does. Its the symbol that represents the group. EXO's symbol is the hexagon and B.A.P's symbol is the bunny.

Omg I love that youre checking out BAP! They really have deep intense music and mvs. Personally I feel that you will probably like Angel (1004) and Wake Me Up more from BAP! But if you like the movie-quality mvs then their song SkyDive is even more intense and has a huge "movie plot" that in my opinion surpasses the One Shot MV Fun fact the change ups/switches in the music throughout the mv are snippets of other songs found on the album that was released with One Shot. They kinda of did it like a movie soundtrack that also introduces you to their other songs BAP actually have a lot of hip hop and rock influences in their songs. They have hardcore rock songs such as Dystopia that you also may like. The meanings of their music also you don't find really in KPop. They have songs that mostly stem around social injustice, corruption by authorities, and various social stigmas.

Thanks so much for reacting to this for me! I really enjoyed your reaction. And you’re right they’re certainly very over the top. Just like the other commentators said it had songs from the rest of the ep spliced in, that’s why the tracks got confusing at times. Skydive is better cut and a better track imo but the music video is even more dramatic.

I’m pretty sure I recommended B.A.P. (Best. Absolute. Perfect. ~Yes, really!) to you a while back. I’m also sure you wouldn’t remember! It really has been a while. But they combine great music with amazing storytelling, plus superb acting & awesome choreography. They are a fantastic (I’m running out of adjectives!) bunch of guys who got a raw deal from their entertainment company: poor promotion, little to no money, they were sitting on all this top-drawer talent. Really a very sad story. At first B.A.P. were all platinum blonds in shiny pleather suits! Then they were cutie-pie preppy-looking sweethearts. Then, WOW, they found their niche with the creation of ONE SHOT. Who needs subtitles, right?? You might remember me saying something like- after your blood pressure returns to normal, you may feel ready to tackle their next mini-movie: SKYDIVE!! It’s even longer.....about 10 minutes. Really amazing, it actually requires multiple viewings to take it all in. I like the way you pay attention, yet don’t allow the visuals to distract you from the music! The music. It’s why we’re here in the first place. Again, with SKYDIVE, a group, a gang, ruthless, loyal, caring, sharp, twists...... kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYeoi6isrpVgmcU There’s also a “making-of” video for SKYDIVE, a “what really happened-“ video, and one where they sit and watch the MV, providing play-by-play commentary on the action.......that you might be interested in. OH. MY. GOD. BAP is my jam. They were how I got into kpop, and they led me to EXO. They're my only other bias group other than EXO. The live rock performance of Punch (the opening song in this video) is absolutely incredible. I highly recommend you watch it. *Bang Yongguk, the leader, wrote and produced all their music,* and is one of the idols who has actually written and produced the most songs in kpop; I think he's sixth on the list. *BAP actually debuted the same year as EXO (2012) with the song "Warrior",* and ended up winning the Rookie of the Year award at the MMAs and Best New Artist at the Golden Disk Awards that year (along with other wins and nominations) One thing BAP is famous for doing in videos like this one is incorporating not only the title track, but other tracks from the album. You also hear the songs Punch and Coma during this mv. The same is true during the videos for 1004 (one of my favorites) and Skydive. BAP is heavily influenced by rock and hip hop, but they have experimented with a ton of different genres (much like EXO has). *Chanyeol loves the BAP song Power (he rocks out to it),* and both groups have a great deal of respect for each other.

YESSSSS, you're finally reacting to B.A.P., one of my favorite groups! They were considered monster rookies back in their day, with a gigantic fanbase that rivaled EXO's when both groups debuted in 2012, and they quickly garnered massive critical acclaim for their bold music style and powerful, socially-conscientious lyrics. However, the year-long hiatus they took when they sued their shitty company for abuse and mismanagement in 2014 decimated a large chunk of their fanbase, and they would never really recapture the fame they had before then. If they were under more competent management, I firmly believe they would be close to the popularity that groups like EXO and BTS enjoy today. Nevertheless, B.A.P. soldiered on and continued to release some fantastic tracks until their contracts with their company finally expired in early 2019. Even though they are no longer "officially" a group, all the members have said they are still B.A.P. in spirit, and would love to come back someday as six. I would definitely recommend reacting to more of their stuff, they're quite versatile in their musical style and tackle subject matter in their lyrics that very few other groups will. I suggest checking out Warrior (their debut song and the song that catapulted them into the public's eye), Power, Skydive, Feel So Good, Wake Me Up, and Honeymoon. :)

This was captivating; they had me from the opening chords. I had the same thought about the weird disco rabbit looking like Frank from Donnie Darko. This music video is like Atomic Blonde meets James Bond and Air Force One in a post-apocalyptic world if Jordan Peele was in the director's chair. Ah B.A.P💕 they debuted in the same year as EXO. Both of them have the extraterrestrial concept. Both of them were competing for the rookie awards in that year.
