Love the sounds of the djs from the years of personality driven radio. Radio will never be that good again.

Thanks. I guess all the years in broadcasting paid off! LOL!

@EllisFeaster It did! But it's getting harder to find a good hot dog street vendor in day parts. 😉

Still digging these airchecks! Can anyone tell me what song he is playing @ 13:20?

Rick Sklar fired Bob for an inappropriate joke about Hiroshima. I'm sure Sklar would have kept him otherwise, and Dayton knew that. Nice Spanky and Our Gang Pontiac commercial within.

Ellis, is it normal for DJs to move from station to station?
@dougmilesmedia8 ай бұрын
It's usually not the DJ's choice to make those moves :) Even the best in the business have gotten canned several times or non-renewed. Just the nature of the radio business.

It's pretty normal. When you get fired, or when you want to move up, it often requires moving. In my 45 years in broadcasting, I've worked on air at radio stations in Atlantic City, Long Island, Wilmington, Roanoke, Hartford, Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Tampa, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, Rochester & Orlando.
