Angelina closes her eyes to draw in all the love from the universe, then conveys all that love to the listener. The most remarkable listening experience of my 62 years.

Great reaction, and your comment how the beat is fast and she was slowing it down was magical! Yes it was, but that is the musical genius of Angelina Jordan, she even changes timing on songs and it still sounds great. Listen to 7th Heaven, most songs kinda have a rhyme sequence, that song doesn't but she makes it work! God Bless!

Ellis, I just wanted to thank yo for the like and let you know(if you don't already), there are about a million reactors on KZbin but you are one of maybe 3 or 4 who actually listen to and react to the vocals AND the music. One of very, very few who know what they're talking about when they react to and analyze a song. Thanks for your insights. Much appreciated. Muchas gracias!
@williambenzino53473 жыл бұрын
Let me second your opinion. I've literally watched hundreds of reactions to Angelina's performances, and even though she is by far my favorite singer, Ellis always something more to say than unadulterated praise, even though it is obvious that he is probably as addicted to her voice and talent as I am. Well, at least close. Love your spontaneous endings.

Besides being beautifully sung, what stands out to me in this performance is her stellar use of dynamics. She is using a karaoke backing track from AcustiClub in this.

This is one of my favourite songs but by Andy Williams but it’s Angelina so this has to be my favourite now I think she was 12 here and the guitarist would be Ivan Mendez when she’s in American we’re she’s living at the moment but when she back home in Norway the guitarist is Egil Clausen great 👍 reaction Love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👼👸🏻🦶🥰👍👋
@kenmclemore5233 жыл бұрын
She has taken it into the lower register, given it a jazz tempo/bossa nova beat and a breathless, almost Eartha Kitt vibe; completely re-imagined the song to her style. It's brilliant... And, you are spot on about the technique. KDM

For a reaction to guitarist.. watch Angelina Jordan - Titanium (Acoustic Cover).. The way he keeps time when playing, makes Angelina lose it.. She can't even get in the last line before laughing out loud. They're obviously at his place, by the collection in the background.

Sorry sir, if I have to disagree. This is in her "music corner" in LA. The guitarist might be Mr. Ivan Mendez. Stay save and healthy. German greetings.

@@elmarwinkler6335 I think you two are having different conversations. Ivan did not play on Titanium, it was Egil. This was probably neither but might be Ivan but I think was a track.

@@danieljodrey8863 Daniel you are correct, sorry for misleading any one. Titanium, was clearly Ergil. And as to the video where you can't see if or who is playing, it could be anything. So peace to all.

When you get Angelina, you're getting a jazz trifecta that includes inflections from Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. Add Angelina's vocal abilities and you wind up with perfection.
@terryfelton22083 жыл бұрын
You got me thinking I needed to revisit the original. It's not that special, just a big band sound with heavy drums and horns. This version is very much a bossa nova like "Girl From Ipanema." I just love it. Thanks for your unique insights and the attention to details others never seem to notice.

Thanks for the reaction buddy. That beat count really blew my mind. I could easily have lost some money here if I was to bet. 115 BPM ??? Agelina has a crazy technique for sure. Thanks for making me aware of this. Guess WHO's gonna be counting beats in her performances from now on ? Love from Norway :-)

Ellis, i can only surmise that Choo Choo was purring incessantly during this performance. Angelina's soft and sultry voice brings new life to this iconic song.
@donnelson66943 жыл бұрын
I think maybe it's Angie's unique phrasing techniques(singing just ahead and just behind the beat),as well as her vocal extensions that made that song seem slower. Probably wrong. Just my 2 cents.
@CarlD703 жыл бұрын
Yes Don, vocal teachers refer to it as "back phrasing" which she uses a lot given the Jazz roots. Common in Jazz singing. She is masterful at it.

Good morning. Being a subscriber, I thoroughly enjoy your insightful reactions and look forward to future videos. Forgive me if I have mentioned this previously, but please consider that it is appreciated by all aspiring artists, like Angelina, when you provide links to both their original videos, as well as to their official channels (links are below). Many reactors do this automatically. I know you feel that viewers don't click on the links, and I agree with you, since the links are not being mentioned. Please verbally encourage your visitors to check out the original video without interruptions, and to subscribe to both yours and the artists' channels, ensures both of you get the credit you deserve. Your mutual goals are interdependent, based upon maximum exposure and subscribers. It is also a win-win situation, as your viewers likely will recommend new videos of interest they have discovered from visiting the linked sites. For Your Information: Did you know that those folks who watch your reactions on TV can't post, view or reply to a comment, or even view the links posted of the original videos? If you have wondered why the ratio of thumbs-up to views is very small, and you are not getting enough comments to fuel your next reactions, that is probably the reason. More and more folks are watching KZbin on television, frequently attached to superior audio amps and speakers. I don't know a way to fix it other than to keep a phone or laptop next to the TV, but that is very cumbersome.

Just cos you're such a cool cat and your nerding is highly amusing: not all guitarists are men. You know how you were talking about the guitarist in this track and said "he", as in whomever it is, it's a he? Cos most guitarists still are, it's infuriating. But seeing as you also asked for other tips for music, here are three guitarists from Norway for your personal viewing, that all have one thing in common: international recognition. ;-) Ready? Enjoy! The Commander-in-chief (Berit Hagen), named by Metal Hammer as The Queen of Shred. Writes her own music, but also loves fusing her electric guitar with Bach and Paganini. And apparently her vocal range includes "dog flute" (??!): kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqfEZn2OitSCb68 Tora Dahle Aagård, hailed by Guitar World as "one of the most interesting new guitar players in the world". Writes, sings, leader of her own band, and generally slays - whether performing with a symphony orchestra or here, doing a solo concert, Covid lockdown style: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqDFYadtn5lmqck Fay Wildhagen is a quiet wild child, trying her hand at anything from writing soft, pop soundtrack for film; introspective, ethereal soul music; and good, old rock n roll. She always performs with a band including string instruments and does her own vocals. She was supposed to tour the US when Covid hit, but will surely do a rain check. This one's from her debut album a while back: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3uZdKOAf6l6kKM
