If you know the backstory to the crew, it makes sense why they're being such dicks to Norman. They're all the original crew, fought through North Africa, Sicily, Normandy, France, then Germany. It was quite literally at the very end of the war that one of their own was killed, so they're naturally pissed about the situation and view Norman as the guy that doesn't belong with them. The acting is awful, do you remember that one captain being told he did a good job when his men are getting cut down in like the first battle sequence. That actor made it look like he was shitting his pants all the time and acting like the word "Army" is a made up word. Pisses me off. Couldn't even get through half the movie before I stopped watching and disliked it. They try to push ethics and introduce characters, man I don't even remember the name of the first protagonist we are introduced to. Yet, they thrust you to meet a new one with different struggles and etc... Garbage writing causes the garbage acting, then that creates the Thin Red Line.

No, no you wouldn't. You would be too busy trying stay alive. He didn't do anything other than the typical messing with the new guy. Not worth killing him over, this man is his new crew mate, like him or not, he is not the enemy.

I recommend the movie "City 44" where it was shown how the Nazis and Ukrainians in the ranks of the SS Galizien pacified Warsaw.

Little hard to believe that a tank crew in the American army in 1945 is somehow unable to get a new recruit who is trained at least in tankery not typing.

I see you have never served in the military. A unit I was assigned to requested 12 new Marines. They got 3. Out of those 3, only 1 was a combat MOS. Shit happens, especially in a combat zone.

Would y’all let some random dude go through your bag? Would you let yourself be seen as lower, treated as lesser from the get-go? I’m surprised Logan’s character didn’t at least start a fight, homie was asking for one.
