Gosh!! Today's Extreme Wardrobe Declutter With Me is INSANE!! You will not believe how much came out of this wardrobe and what LITTLE I'm left with!
I have been on a mission to turn myself from a HOARDER to MINIMALIST from MESSY TO MINIMAL in 2024. I will be decluttering my entire home, not leaving any area untouched and getting rid of almost everything that I own.
The mess and clutter that I have physically in my home has truly been getting to me for a while now mentally and I'm ready to get back on top of things and help give myself some peace in my brain which feels extremely overwhelmed right now.
If you have been looking to start on a journey of minimalism but are yet to hit the go button then I hope this video may inspire you to get started and that you join me on this crazy journey. It looks like you would really benefit from having a shoe rack or some kind of storage solution at the bottom of your wardrobe? The hardest part of decluttering clothes is definitely dealing with it afterwards. Trying to sell it means it just sits in the house. It feels like a good idea to set a deadline. For anything you can't otherwise get rid of, you can take to h&m for recycling and they give you a voucher

A shoe rack is a great idea! I don’t know why I didn’t even think about that so thank you 🤍 yes I totally agree. I’m happy with the time limit. And I completely forgot that H&M do the vouchers too! Photograph the sentimental bits and you could make photo books- in categories eg children bits, birthday bits etc I would also put a shelf along near the bottom of the wardrobe to double the space for shoes hand bags and boxes X

Loved this vlog , well done I've been putting off doing my wardrobe and VERY overwhelmed but I'm going to do mine now , I have a big hat box on top ov wardrobe with my sentimental stuff in , and the other with my daughters things she made and drawn and she is now 31❤ xx

As most people rarely use travel bags, move them up top, along with clear shoe boxes for dressy shoes/bags you rarely wear.

You can always take them to H&M for recycling. You get a £5 off £25 voucher. I think you can have up to 8 at a time and they last about 6 months. They take old bedding and old clothes that you probably can't sell etc. One Tesco/Lidl bag counts as one bag :) xx

Good job! Looks like you also could benefit from some organization. Shoe racks and shelves could help. Possibly fold your jeans and sweaters. Only one item per hanger. If you don’t see it, you won’t wear it.

It looks like so many pairs of shoes in good condition that could be donated instead of just throwing them away! 😔 Always remember there are A LOT of people that don't have anything! And also A LOT of landfills full as well as our oceans full of trash! Other items could be recycled too.

Unfortunately all of the shoes I threw away were not any good. I resold or donated the shoes that were okay. Some of these shoes are 14/15 years old, many had holes, broken soles, straps etc. but I’ve donated a lot especially in todays video just gone live. My house has basically been the landfill site for over a decade as I’ve struggled to get rid of stuff 😳😂

Wow thank you so much for this awesome declutter motivation 😇 When you've shown the huge pile of decluttered things that had to go in the bin (mostlu the clothes as it's my biggest struggle along with magazines/catalogues) I was sad to see the video was almost over and you'll probably won't film while actually discarding anything but you've had just enough time to squeeze that at the end 🤗 The only thing is I do exactly like that, I take a clean bag to toss clean things in it and then I won't have the courage to either dump normal trash over them or toss the bag in the outdoor bin and it will most likely stay in the garage forever 😅 I've wished I would have seen them get mixed in some ways to regular rubbish so it makes it impossible anymore to take back anything out out and also impossible to keep the whole bag like I do 😂 I guess it's already in the bin by now 🥲

A lot of the stuff I decided to sell but you’re totally right about not being tempted to bring it back into the house and use items! I’ve actually been really good. I do need to up my game selling it however I have a huge pile in my garage for my husband to move for me! Just waiting to declutter the garage now 😂 in my under bed declutter coming up soon, I did have bin bag liners that I put stuff into there and then! I just didn’t have any on the day but the amount of things I got rid of was ridiculous! I like the idea of dumping dirty rubbish over them though so we’re not being tempted to get bits back out! 😂 a dirty nappy, some spider webs or something like that would definitely do the trick 😂

@@EllisSaraSmith But if I've understood well, the whole pile you've put in the white bag at the end was to toss or I've misunderstood what you've said ? Personally I rarely sell clothes but I would probably procrastinate too. Giving away clothes when they're still good and that I don't wear them anymore is pretty easy for me, it's only for any clothes that aren't in good enough condition to give and even some underwear that aren't comfortable or doesn't fit me well anymore but are still in good condition I struggle to discard. The diapers in the bag is probably too drastic for me to be able to do it haha it makes no sense as it will still go in the same place tho but just the regular kitchen/bathroom waste would do the job 😂

I think the word you're looking for is sentimental stuff. I have my mom's Hutch with things from when I was little and her wedding dishes she past 10 years ago. That usually lives in my living room but there's no room for it now since I moved into a smaller space so it lives in my entryway which is fine. I will never be a minimalist but I'm not a clutterbug either. I have things that make my life easier than most people don't because my disability and everything happens to be on my level. All the things I own I've had for over either one decade or two. All my furniture is multifunctional built by my cousins. I have 17 tote boxes for my entire apartment. And yet my cousins are like oh you have so much stuff I hope it fits in your apartment I have moved every year year and a half due to circumstances Beyond my control everything has fit the only really big piece is my mother's Hutch which I just got 10 years ago. But considering the last four places I've lived have been one bedrooms and I have reduced to a bachelor (which is quite big but they lied and said it was wheelchair accessible)
