Our experience on the trains down south has been nothing but fantastic 🇮🇳 We only stayed in Kerala for a few days, after a month in India we were knackered and needed to chill out. Traveling in unreserved class in express trains is not bad in Tamilnadu and Kerala unless it's over crowded. It's a pure joy if it is a passenger train. People will mingle quickly with you. In AC coaches nobody will even smile.

Your first meal, in Kerala, the curries are served in courses. You start with the one called Parippu (lentil curry) then Sambar, then rasam /pulissery. Pulissery is yogurt based. Mix all the vegetable side dishes in the it and enjoy!
