HI akka, Thank you ., My grandma and great grandma used to say ellu Punaku ..But my mother And i would call it Ellu pahu, So since this recipe was given to my mother by her mother, I thought maybe older generation would be known by this name., You right punakku is given to animals...take care and thanks again for your lovely comments.
