Elman is a great singer disguised as a great violinist. His lyrical, communicative style is rarely heard today. Like Kreisler, the intent wasn’t to amaze you. Rather, it was to charm you and touch your heart. Thank you for sharing these treasures with us. Elman ought to always be remembered by violinists of today and tomorrow.

Music making from a bygone era - and era in which music-making was LOVED and BREATHED. Thank you for this exquisite magic from the past.

Gorgeous thanks for posting. There is an immediate connection between violin and voice with Caruso and Elman superb!

They are lucky if they even know of Kreisler's playing much less the dozens maybe hundreds of other great violinists. Thanks for listening.
