Max is getting better and better every year. But we need more additions and new tools. Like new cloth modifier, hair and fur system, new simulation tools or fully integrated tyflow instead of basic pflow. May be rewrited CAT or autorig instead of CAT, like LH Autorig and etc.

Does Razor work with Max 2023 ? I downloaded Razor and placed in the proper directory in 3ds max, but I only see the upper panel in the UI. I do not see the panel for draw spline and the rest of the setttings.

QT is a library to accelerate the creation of any UI. Its way faster than what 3dsmax used to have. Its just that with the thousands of menus max has, they have been porting to QT during different years slowly

VDB in 2023y is crazy :D Color management and the new material editor is finally something useful (I hope they developed it properly, not like the old version assembled from sticks and garbage). After so many years I stopped using max in projects. At least 10 more updates and only then can I think about a return.

i really hope the max development picks up pace with Qtfication!!! i assume lots of things are cleaned up in max 2024. the size went from 9GB in Max 2023.3 to 4.85 GB!

As a Blender user, I always find C4D or 3DS Max updates much better, cooler, and more essential. Meanwhile, we've got a new hair system (sigh) in the latest update but no light linking in 2023. Hurray. I'd swap that Razor thing for two years of Blender updates...

Quite the opposite actually.. Max is notoriously bad for updates. Blender updates with meaningful features every 6months

As a 3dmax user for more that 15 years I switched to blender. As a game developer I don't need those bells and whistles

Really? Blender adds like 5 times more features with each update than Max and Maya combined. The new hair system is a complete overhaul and it's gonna be part of unified procedural physics system like Houdini, new max's update was good as well but you're way out of touch if you think Blender's development is disappointing. And yes, Light linking has been added in 3.6 alpha. And that razor thing is nothing new, it's not even an update from 3ds max, it's just a plugin and Blender already has a plugin like that called Noisy Cutter and it costs like $9. My brother, in 3-4 years of Blender development, Blender went from software that's unintuitive, complex and unusable to zbrush max maya copying Blender's UI and features and artists with decades of experince with max and maya switching to Blender, at this pace of development in 2 years Blender would be completely different software again.

Love your content. I've been using Max 2024 for a few days. Every time I try to unwrap, it crashes. Could that be a bug?? Did the same in 2023 without issues.
