I was amused at first but after a little consideration I realized it could be the result of processing potential outcomes while talking, the lag in speech. Ultimately there was no negative or positive outcome from this segment thus keeping a neutral position in the media’s eyes. More intelligent than can be perceived. I am simply assessing this particular segment and not his position in the world. He got to where he is by doing something right so there is notable/exceptional intelligence there obviously.

I don't think that accurately describes Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a finite digital currency similar to gold but instead of some of the physical properties that makes gold attractive, Bitcoin has security features that make it attractive. Ethereum on the other hand with its technology has the power to act as the digital currency of the future, the added benefit being it's decentralised and the blockchain technology adding further possibilities that can remove certain bureaucracies and speed process for transactions.

Ultimately he nailed it but I think there are too many complications for him to be able to expand on his answer like I think he wanted to. Fundamentally he is right about money being an mechanism for labor allocations, though money is ultimately a vehicle for completing a transaction, it is a transaction that takes place from the labor of another. As far as security and legalities are concerned the same facts hold true for legacy currencies. The USD is one of the most widely used currencies for illegal activities and one of the most counterfeited currencies on the planet. Legacy banks are far less secure than most cryptos and far less consumer serving. Crypto is the future happening now. Especially once we become a multi planet species which Musk is attempting for us to become. I do not envision an ATM popping up on Mars Colony 1. Instead I envision transactions taking place digitally on some holographic armband linked to a quantumly entangled satellite linked to earth in the year 2050. People always struggle against change, they laughed at the first train, the first vehicle, they laughed at Tesla and Space X (said rockets couldn't be landed-not possible), and they laughed at bitcoin.

Bitcoin is super traceable though, because of the KYC & AML measures in place with pretty much all exchanges. Surely this can be circumvented in some ways, but cash is a thing too. Cash is very well suited to illegal transactions. Bitcoin isn’t, at least with its current level of privacy. This can change of course with privacy enhancements to the Bitcoin protocol, and of course, private cryptocurrencies do exist.
