When did we become conscious and aware of our surroundings in the history of the world?

My lung had collapsed some weeks ago and they told me they would put me under conscious sedation with ketamine. Never have experience ketamine before this moment. Without pain I felt myself split into millions of pieces. Every piece went to a separate dimension. One of those dimension was a machine that was fusing life and time together while destroying it simultaneously. It scared and amazed me at the same time. I truly feel I seen something I wasn't meant too. The feeling of millions of pieces of me slamming back into each other as I heard the doctors say "what's your name and date of birth" after my vision was violently shaking till it was clear and I was fully back. The doctor said when I was coming too all I kept saying was " holy shit" "holy shit" "what did i do" i truly thought i died accepted my death just to be right back in reality like it never happened. My fear of death is gone. Whatever happens after this life i accept it just glad i could be apart of something bigger than myself

We are looking at it all wrong, consciousness did not arise, consciousness has always been. Our bodies are the medium where consciousness thrives. Think of it as a massive singular mollusk type entity that’s constantly searching out a host in order to experience a carbon based reality. Our brains are partly receivers in a sense, receiving consciousness and living in a symbiotic relationship until your carbon based form fails to operate anymore. Then it leaves the body, the memories, and everything associated with this reality behind in search of a new host. Or so that’s what I felt like everything was while on more than the recommended dosage of Psilocybin…

Yeah i had the same trip in the late 80s in bali after eating a magic mushroom omelette. I think its more though, it created biological life to explore itself and the universe. This question is like asking... At first there was a single wire through which electricity was either passing or not. It indicated either 1 or 0. Fast forward a few decades and you have a machine that can talk like a human, and paint pictures described by a human. Where in that process did the "special component" arise, which granted it the power? The answer is that it is an emergent property of the structure. If you connect enough such wires in a certain conplex structure, it is naturally able to do things like these. Same is the case with consciousness.

@sen78263 ай бұрын
@@rishikeshwagh Mary's Room, the Chinese Room Thought Experiment... They all have a flaw. They all focus on the lack of mapping of the real-world things to their representations in the "brain". Imagine a baby who does not know any languages. To teach that baby English, the parents associate let's say the word "water" with the baby's sensory perception of real, liquid water, and so on. In the Chinese Room Thought Experiment, the AI is trapped in a room and is not allowed to see (using sensors/cameras) what the Chinese word for "water" refers to. The same is the case with Mary, she has no idea what "red" looks like because she is not allowed to look at colours (the saturation in her camera/screen is turned off). But there is no sufficient reason given why the "brain" must not have access to the senses. Mine is not a reductionist view of consciousness, theirs is a reductionist view of the physical world.

Each one of our trillions of cells is composed of trillions of atoms arranged into the most complex molecules that exist, including our entire DNA-based genome and tens of thousands of different complex proteins. The thiestic approach contradicts the non dual approaches of consciousness that Consciousness was always present. Since we non dual guys have to exist we need to just get off of this God approach that god created Consciousness. First of all if god created Consciousness. We need to ask is god conscious? If god is conscious than can he create anything without being conscious? And if he creates anything without being conscious and is being unconscious than conscious beings no matter if they say to a bat hello? Yo motherf##er ? He won't have anything to do with them. Giving only two options the thiestic religions losing their sense of apparent Absolute morality no matter what you do. 2nd Let's for a time say gpd was unconscious but became conscious. Force dependent: If god needs to be conscious than he is dependent on that thing and Consciousness is that. Which means Consciousness which is even more powerful than god created you and it is god which is itself unconscious, if we remove his Consciousness. And if you are still not convinced than fall into the paradox yourself where did that Consciousness of god came from. This will be my last question entering the paradox . But you may ask okay. So where does the Consciousness came from if there is no god we suppose . Answer: From Consciousness? Can you differ Consciousness from Consciousness? Sounds like just words writing only. Up and down,sides,anywhere you look there can be nothing which escapes Consciousness. It pervades everything,it can affect everything,nobody affects it. Mental states noted by Reductionists are just mental states and correlations which are not the actual state of consciousness. I beg to ask those reductionists what is even the normal state of consciousness? Is it coma? Is it waking? Is it meditative? Is it death? Which one ? What is the highest state of consciousness ever observed? And would that remain the highest state of consciousness? The reductionists are literally reducing "what is to be like?"to "(Where does that)" what is it like to be came from?" And here they come with brain it's as simple as it seems for the reductionists. But no matter what theory has come none proved "what is it like" Came from matter,neuron ,particle. Subjective Experiences where do they came from. And the Question why only neurons can do will also remain. We have never seen some AI saying that,some monkey,fish saying that . Maybe the spiritual masters may be wrong when they say humans are the highest representations of life and there be more complex beings . But there may be a reason they say "life" . Whatever your views on ,My non dual approach or I say non dual meditation of Advaita Vedanta has been studied. It's not fully to Science but it's like that which is not beyond science but there is not advancment much in the field. And there are other analogies which should be keen to be observed. Can matter Experience itself? The matter which created itself can it Experience itself? The energy which created itself can it Experience itself. Or are they simply third dimensional? In both the cases if consciousness is found ,it doesn't show can Consciousness Experience itself? It's not like I am saying this. "Oh so you are saying since neurons function the body the neurons should Experience it themselves. What a utterly foolish thinking we can expect from a ohiyo philosopher". The question is literally on the scale if that thing can create something which Experiences something else something which is matter. Why can't it create something which Experiences itself. A matter which Experiences itself? A energy which Experiences itself? Can the reductionists answer this? Not now,maybe in future .

In the early universe there were protons and electrons in a vast expanse. They slowed enough to form hydrogen atoms which are a proton with a bound electron. Then things develop to result in more complex atoms. A lot is not known.

I’ve always looked at consciousness as a stream that we all ride on. Everything is on the stream, and when you die, you leave the stream and come back to that stream and all sorts of forms. It’s like the universe is a big computer and our galaxy is powered by Windows (the laws of physics), and it has a 2 TB SSD (Load speeds are fast), 4090 rtx (good shadows, great graphics) , with a 10 terabyte hard drive (the massive size of the universe, which is expandable). And we are the song file earth that takes up like 3 MB. And if we get deleted, our memory gets recycled into the computer, and will be used for other things.

for me, i think all of our conciousness are just part of massive chain reaction that started in big bang. you could call the reasons we use everyday as chain reactions but is happenning via our minds and how we interact in everything. for example: you like pancake, the reason you like pancake is because it stimulates your sense of taste, how it stimulated your sense of taste? because you tried it before. how you tried it before? because you bought it and so on. this can also apply to even smaller reasons like: your mom said you need to buy foods in grocery store. she communicated to you via sound waves with her mouth to make that sound, and recieve that sound waves with your ear until it reached your brain. you responded the same way as your mom did. and will go on like a domino effect. i think chain reaction has the same function as reason. chain reaction can even be applied in all atoms of this universe but it would be too unpredictable for a human but something like our inventions can predict it. like what we're doing with double pendulum where we can't predict with just our minds, but it can be simulated with a computer, it calculates it's every angle and move so that it predicts it's future movement outcome. so imagine if we're able to invent a computer that's capable of computing every movements of atoms of this universe, we can predict our future. if we can predict our future then that just means all of our movements, thoughts, and anything that will happen in our future are predicted. and with that, i think that just proves that our conscience is just part of chain reaction of this universe. i think that consciousness we know of, doesn't really exist on us. or maybe it's just what i thought.

Yeah that's what I think too. It's called Determinism. It basically means we have no free will. It however contradicts some fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics like unpredictability and probabilistic nature of fundamental particles. Also Heisenberg's uncertainty principle states that we cannot know 100% of all the information of a system with 100% accuracy. So there is always some ambiguity in our knowledge of a system. Meaning we cannot simulate the future states of that system with a 100% certainty.

How would we pin point the moment in which consciousness first appeared if we don’t even understand yet what consciousness is and what are they core elements, without that certainty we cannot look at any other place or moment on time, and study the characteristics of anything we think had consciousness, the main question remains keeping everything else a mistery, what is consciousness and how does it appear?

It didn't arrive consciousness was always here. It takes us to say that it exists. So it is where are we?As intelligent energy. When did we become conscious, well that to is not a measurable because what were we before human?
@clevertaco3286 ай бұрын
Looking at Faith being a type of energy. We are looking to see if it is, if it can be, and if so, can it be quantified? Is it connected to another energy or is it one energy mistaken as another, something akin to what Tesla talked about. Some old philosophical writings, Tesla's work and verses in the Bible is what started this inquiry. Not sure an answer is plausible let alone possible, but we'll try. It is interesting and thought provoking, if nothing else.

It's like saying from where did tides arise in ocean..... Pure consciousness remains the same... It is present everywhere.... Since it is beyond five senses it's difficult to reflect in mind......!!! But if you make your mind subtle.... Less interested in subjects you will experience it.... Thats already mentioned in vedas and upanishad

The question I should ask myself is why is that or how is that possible that what my reality my own Consciousness and my own brain created is also visible in other realities,other Consciousnesses ,others Experience? They feel pain when I get hurt,I feel pain at same time. With vice versa. The scientists together find anything about Consciousness how do they all have same reality? Now the answer of this can only be find according to Quantam mechanics making atleast Consciousness to a level of quantam thing.

The intelligence of consciousness first makes proton clouds, then star-dusted complex plasmas which spiral into large torus structures that collapse into stars. The the stellar bubble, atmospheres around planets allow pockets of various temperature so that condensation occurs bringing liquids and water. In the Solar Atmospheres, hydrogen plasma will eventually turn “outside in”, and intelligence will be infused into a self-made cell.
